Baan Thai Kitchen

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and it was amazing. The gin bar is great, lots of variety of different gins. We had booked in advance online but it was a chilled evening and we were offered a lovely booth. Atmosphere was lovely, the staff were great and so attentive and the food was just incredible - great value and so tasty. No bad points at all. Will definitely be back again!

Me and my wife decided to give this place a try on Sunday after seeing it re-open as a Thai, we used to go every week when it was china lounge so was nice to go back and see the changes, from start to finish the food and service was excellent, i'd go as far as saying it's the best Thai i've tasted in years! Take a trip people, it's worth it

We went to the taster night tonight. The food was amazing will definitely be back, loved the Cantonese beef, the waiter was really helpful telling us about the different dishes. It took a while to be seated and then served but a few teething problems it’s understandable on the first night. Looking forward to coming back.

Place has been done up nice. Never went to Ivory bar and grill but loved the Buddha lounge so thought we’d give this place a go.



Food was nice to be fair. Presentation could do with some work. There was just no wow factor. The street food platter looked like an Iceland box that had been warmed up with 3 bowls of dipping sauces. Other people on the next table had the same starter and commented that ours looked better. The curries were nice but again rice just slopped in a bowl.



Staff seemed nice enough but the service was just average. Nobody explained the dishes or asked if we wanted water for the table. Even trying to pay seemed like an eternity waiting for the chip and pin machine. Even then we weren’t asked if everything was ok or had we enjoyed it.



I really wanted to like this place but it didn’t impress. The service needs some work and someone to coordinate it better. I understand it’s opening week and there’s teething problems but if anything the manager should be directing the staff to go above and beyond to impress the first customers.

Food was average and service was poor. Really wanted to like the place it looks lovely from the outside.



But if a let down such a shame
