It is important to allow yourself to ride the waves of grief as they come and go, and we know just how painful this can be. Baby Rainbow Memorial Gardens was established to provide a quiet and peaceful place to retreat to when working through these waves of emotion. We recognise crematoriums and cemeteries are beautiful commemorative spaces; but through our own experience, they felt too closely associated with death and sadness. It is our mission to improve the mental well-being of bereaved families by working together with local authorities in providing dedicated, bright and beautiful spaces, where families can take time to reflect and remember their children in a positive way, without being distressed by an often depressing environment. Baby Rainbow Memorial Gardens aims to encourage grieving families to talk while also using the space to honour their child. For communities who wish to volunteer, helping to maintain the garden will help keep the mind focused on something beautiful and symbolic while dealing with grief in a constructive way.
