Our body is a wonderful piece of equipment that is in a constant state of flux, adapting and balancing all systems to cope with the stresses and strains that our day to day lives put upon it. Back to health's approach is to understand this state and by manual therapy and osteopathic techniques provide your body the best environment for balance and health.
Manual therapy treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems, but it also has a role to play in the management of a number of other conditions.
The most common complaints for which patients consult are:
Generalised aches and pains,
Joint pains including hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis as an adjunct to core OA treatments and exercise.
Arthritic pain. Treatment is individual, gently moving and stretching an arthritic joint and massaging surrounding muscles and tissues can help ease some of the discomfort. Sometimes we may work on general mobility of the other joints and muscles in the body to help the mechanics of the body work better. We may also give advice on exercises, diet, posture and changes to lifestyle. X-rays, scans or other tests may be required and you may referred to your GP for any additional investigations and treatment
