Hamstring focussed class this week. Often people say their hamstrings are tight, but this can be due to the fascia in the lumbar spine being restricted causing this to pull on the hamstrings. The class used the small ball to massage the lower back to create space then worked on dynamic stretching for the hamstrings. #pilates #hamstrings #fascialfitness

The hundred in Pilates is the first move of Joseph’s 34 exercises. In his book “Return to Life Through Contrology”, Joseph states “ Contrology is complete coordination of body, mind and spirit.” This move certainly challenges those three aspects.
