Backwards Burd

Backwards Burd is a Riso printers and small-press comix house in London. Their anthologies feature emerging comix /illustration talent and are bi-monthly.

Backwards Burd began in 2012 as a student society that was hell-bent on promoting other students artwork, namely comics. With painstaking fundraising, our first issue was produced. Over the course of the next two issues, a more hands-on approach resulted in the lush, boutique finish of our more recent Anthologies.

If you're an illustrator or comic book artist, we're always seeking new talents to showcase, so don't hesitate to drop an email - we unfortunately don't pay but neither do we charge. And more importantly - you keep all the rights to your work. We're just putting it out there. As well as selling comics, many of the skills acquired in producing the magazine led to us deciding to set up and operate as a business. Some of our specialties are:

-Risograph Printing (books, posters, leaflets, flyers, business cards, indie albums)
-Book Making /Binding
-Design (illustrative, graphic, website)
