Backwell Flax Bourton Cricket Club

Backwell Flax Bourton is an ECB, Clubmark-approved village cricket club situated between the North Somerset villages of Backwell and Flax Bourton, just south of Bristol. We are a club run by its members for its members and with our aims firmly set on providing cricket for the local community, we are never far from a friendly face. Senior CricketWe run 4 adult teams, three of which play on Saturdays and one on Sundays. Our 1st team play on Saturdays in the Bristol & District Cricket League Div. 3, our 2nd Saturday Team started in 2018, and plays in the Bristol & District Cricket League Div. 10. Our 3rd Saturday XI plays in the 30-over league. The Sunday team plays in the Sunday Conference Div. 3 of the North Somerset Cricket League. Youth CricketThrough our ECB-qualified coaches and volunteer parents, we run a flourishing Youth Section with 5 age groups from 5 to 15 years; including All Stars (children from 5 to 8 years) U9 section and 3 teams at Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 levels, playing in the North Somerset Youth Cricket League. Our growing youth section is the future & as such we invest huge amounts of time & energy into the enjoyment of the game. Midweek CricketWe also field a friendly mid-week team, who train and play on Wednesday evenings at Flaxmead from 7pm. All our teams aims are rooted in the ethos of ensuring cricket is provided for the local community to continue the long and historic tradition of Flax Bourton cricket. Adult & Youth TrainingAll are welcome along to our adult training sessions at Flaxmead which happen every Tuesday from 6: 00pm. All Youth (5- 15Years) all train on a Friday evening from 6pm.
