Went here today while meeting a few people from a car club. Popped in for a bite to eat. Food was amazing and staff very friendly. Would drive the 115 miles again for one of their burgers!

We turned up after being let down elsewhere, felt very welcomed, especially as a party of 12 when they were already having a busy evening. Food was great and very reasonably priced, the staff were fantastic, great sense of humour.. Will definitely be returning

Thank you Gayle for a really lovely stay at The Dakota followed by a very tasty breakfast at The Oak. Plenty to choose from on the menu and all our meals were freshly cooked and hot. The waitress was very attentative and nothing was too much trouble. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would also like to say what a fantastic job you all did with the organisation of Party in The Park. As expats of Coventry we travelled all the way from Cornwall to see it and only have praise for the event. We will be back next year! Mandy & Gary Cartwright

Really enjoyed my experience here, we booked a table for 4 for my grandads birthday and the staff were so accommodating and catered to our every need. Food was also delicious.

Outstanding place evening meal was really nice , the young lady behind the bar last night was so lovely I canŌĆÖt remember her name but we do have the same last name (ward) her service was amazing and she was very pleasant and friendly so thank you to you ’┐Į

We also have breakfast this morning and again it was perfect

Rooms are really nice and bed are comfy

I visited tonight and although it was very busy with a private function in the restaurant and a busy bar area we received excellent service and amazing food. The food is so well priced for such a good portion and I would highly recommend ’┐Į

I enjoy coming to the oak as the staff that works here are polite the owners of here are great people as well

Had such a lovely meal here! Couldnt fault anything, yes there is a wait but tbh you will have to wait anywhere but its worth it!

Big thanks to Gayle and Sonia for accommodating my motherŌĆÖs big 90- birthday dinner on relatively short notice, and also thanks to Marina (? - I think I got that correct) who went above and beyond with the table service and even volunteered to risk taking some photographs for us!

Big thank you to the oak for great family meal and entertainment! I'm definitely feeling Christmas spirit now with having band sing to us as we where having are meal they where fab! ­¤Ää­¤Äģthen to top off the night soul band played the best I've ever heard!! My 3 years old had to get up and dance she was in or of them!. Fantastic 3course meal staff made it special all working really hard even though they are so busy always so professional also have smile on the face make u feel nothing is to much trouble ­¤śē. the whole family enjoy there self's that much it will be annual event to make sure we see the same bands on again! Thank you Baginton oak see u boxing day for next book meal!! P. S food always amazing thats why we come regularly never disappointed xx

15 of us decided to join the simple Luther tribute evening with dinner . What a fantastic time . Fabulous food . Great music . Lovely hard working staff who really made us welcome so a big well done to the Oak for an amazing evening . MORE PLEASE ..

Food was good, served quickly but seating was not very well organised for a large group, however staff did try to provide more tables, just not enough for our group. Definitely eating here again though.

Visited as part of a large group last night food was nice however i found the staff quite unfriendly and whilst food was being served felt like i was being spoken to like a school child..... will think twice before returning.

The food was great, got a large party out at the same time, bad point spent most of the night at the bar trying to get served, more staff needed and maybe check in some where else it was all very confusing

My 1st visit to this pub was last Sunday (7th Jan). Although I was part of a group, I arrived on my own. First impressions were good, large car park & large building. On entering the pub, I noticed a few of my group were already at the bar ordering food (should have chipped in with them). I then got stauck behind two 'old biddies'. Neither of which could decide what they were ordering (hope I never get old). 15 minutes later, I got served. Luckily, I only wanted a coffee & pre-packed cake!!. Once seated with my group, 10 min later my coffee arrived.



They either want more staff, or better organisation. Not sure if I'll return.

Good and bad points. We stayed at their accommodation and checking in was at the bar. It was busy so it took a long time just to get to the room. Rooms were great. In the evening we had a meal with a large group. Service and food were good. Breakfast next morning was very unorganised. 8.30am was the latest they would serve on a Sunday so we all arrived and although our table was ready they didn't see prepared for us. We had to ask for a lot of basic things like milk for the tea!

I regularly eat at The Oak, but today was a poor experience! My friend and I waited an hour for a snack. There was no apology and I was told there was only 2 chefs on duty, I told the ?waiter that was not my problem. The restaurant certainly wasnŌĆÖt full. I am supposed to be having a meal next week at the Oak but I am not sure whether to risk it.
