Perfect position, fabulous sea views from room no.1, beds and pillows very comfy, breakfast hearty and good. And last but not least the hoteliers were friendly and helpful. Great value for money.

Lovely friendly hotel very clean and tidy. All the staff were very friendly informative and accommodating. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We spent the bank holiday weekend there as we were climbing Scafell Pike, and this hotel was ideally situated on the coast, literally just across the road from the beach. Seascale is a quiet little place just approximately 30 minutes drive through the lanes to Wast Water and Scafell Pike... the Bailey Ground Hotel is an ideal place to use as a base to get you into the lakes mountains and ofcourse the beach. The most friendliest hotel ever. All of the people from the Bailey's made sure to talk to us, giving us recommendation and taking us to restaurant around the area. (it was Easter and nothing much was opened)
