Met up with old friends for a Sunday afternoon meal and get together. Great food, great atmosphere and our waitress was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and all her meal suggestions were spot on, we all loved her. Fab afternoon Balans, thank you.

Had breakfast. Very good service. I had 2 eggs scrambled with toast bacon and avocado. My friend had cheese omelette with fried potatoes- they were fabulous. Everything cooked as I wanted it. Plus some iced coffee.



What more could I want? �

Friday night dinner and cocktails! Was not disappointed! Fabulous service! 'That infamous burger' ticked all the right boxes, and the warm doughnuts were to die for! Ambience was spot on. Would encourage all too go

Nice venue quite busy for a Sunday afternoon, to be honest Balans serves average pub food, I've had almost as good in a 'Wetherspoon's' as I've had here for half the price. Lots of drama over an undercooked chicken with one of my party, quite a wait for initial service then for the food. Chef came over to explain the problem (or lack of problem in his opinion) with the chicken... polite enough but probably 'the customer is always right' (having worked in restaurants myself) is the best policy. Staff all friendly and attentive after 'chickengate'. Nice French waitress who was kind enough to parle français with us. If you want some decent pub grub in nice chic surroundings in Clapham this is fine. Coffee is excellent.
