What lovely people and amazing food. Have been through a tough few days losing my home job and partner the same day (yesterday) left my wallet on the table full of cards money etc. A member of staff found it and handed it to senior staff. When I asked about if it had been handed in I was given it straight back. I handed the girl £10. Thank you so very much, I'm rock bottom and this could of been much worse

Went for a fanatic meal at the Baldwin Arms with my family. First impressions always count. Fantastic pub, staff are keen to help in every way. Food was amazing. Had to comment as it was so nice to be made welcome. Keep up the good work and will see you again very soon ūüĎć

I arrived around 2pm for Sunday lunch. I was met by Denise (cover manager I think) who could not have been more welcoming or accommodating. After a wait of fifteen minutes we were served a piping hot, fresh and tasty Sunday roast. The cost for the two of us? A fiver each. I loved the place and will definitely go again.

Best neighbourhood pub around. Loads of choice in great tasty and reasonably priced food. The staff are great and always smiling. Let's not forget to mention the different areas you can eat or drink and they always got something interesting going on, like recently, the Macmillan fund raise! Daily spot for me and the family.

booked on line but had not been entered into the dairy, lucky it was a Wednesday evening so not busy,I would not of been happy if it had been busy and no table. Tip transfer on line bookings to your dairy. The waitress was very good and the food was excellent, my previous meal here was not so good, so was delighted that it was hot and tasted good Value you money and probably a new chef from my last visit

We ordered our food it took about 20 mins to arrive. I had a cow pie which for the most part was tasty, but mine was overcooked and the pastry was hard and not enough gravy. My husband had a mixed grill which again for the most part was ok but the sausages were burnt and overcooked. We ordered desserts as they were free but after waiting 40 mins after our plates had been cleared we left git fed up of waiting. So all in all not brilliant but ok.

The food we ordered was hot, tasty and well-presented. There were some very noisy customers in on this Bank Holiday Monday and my pint of Abbot Ale did not taste right. It was changed for a good pint of IPA, but not without the Spanish Inquisition

The food was nice but since the refurbishment the portions have got a lot smaller, shame as the food is nice. You may lose custom due to this.

Saturday afternoon 3.30 most tables were reserved,waited 40 mins for food,When the food came out there was no barbecue pulled pork on top of the burger I ordered, I spoke to the bar staff and he went and spoke to the chef ,he came back and said sorry but there isn't and barbecued pulled pork the chef forgot to take it out the freezer and defrost it would I like some extra onion rings instead I said no ty and said why didn't the chef say there was no pulled pork and not just send the food out without it,anyway I wouldn't go there to eat again but the young bar person was very polite and it wasn't his fault

Long wait for service to order, despite being the first ones in the pub. Bank Holiday Monday I'm guessing they gave most of the staff the day off!

I went to a party last night unfortunately I fell very ill an ended up having ambulance I don't know wat food was like didn't get chance to taste it was a personal problem I had no fault of pub but what I can remember the workers one young lad there was ace got seat an water an woman used her phone for ambulance then the guys phone after I think x sorry didnt get names xcan't thank them enough for there help can't say much about food as wasn't there but I heard from the party It was bad but I can't comment x

Very disappointed me and my family have been eating there for the past 2years and have loved it and always gave it 5 stars but past 6 months I can only rate it with 2 stars went in November no burgers no sausage can't believe it .went last week think it was Tuesday about 15.30 not meany people eating so ordered 3 starters 2 soup's for my son and is dad .1chicken wings for me OK didn't wait long but then the waitress came out with the cutlery of the year plastic spoons to eat hot soup with really was told ran out of spoons sorry . you jocking me there was only a hand full of people eating OK so ordered the main my son had a daddy burger me and is dad had the 24oz steak I did ask for it well done but god it tasted like charkole and chips was well done never eat mine gave it the husband who eat it as it cost us over ¬£55 pound my sons burger was burnt so we didn't stay for pudding .come on Baldwin what's going on with the place change the chef . and why are all your best staff leaving will be thinking very hard about returning sorry but I am very disappointed I must say ÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅĹÔŅ ĹÔŅĹÔŅĹ from Mrs Judith Chapman .

Last year I couldn't get enough of the place. The food was amazin and service was great. But the last 4 times Iv gone it's been AWFUL! Even though the place has been empty the food has taken over half an hour to arrive. We found a hair in the food as soon as she put the plate down. Instead of changing it. We were offered different chicken instead of a brand new plate of food. 3 times the food was sent back. First with hair. Second because they tried to change certain things on the plate instead of giving us fresh food. And third because we received raw unpeeled mushrooms on one plate. And flat greasy black old mushrooms on the other plate. Ending in us eating separately because they finally decided to cook other plate of food. Which was still vile. Dry tasteless unseasoned chicken. Cold shrivelled chips that looked like they'd been cooked hours ago. Grey tinned peas. chewy uncooked gammon fat and sausages as pale as the dead pig they came off. Sack your chef

I’ve been a customer of the hungry horse/Baldwin for many year and have had some very nice meals and celebrated many events there, but the last few months have been dreadful. we went a few months ago and half our meal was missing when complained was told they had run out, this that what we got would have been more helpful if they had told us this when we ordered so we didn’t go for a while. I’d booked tables for 2 separate birthdays we had coming up as we have always had big family meals/celebrations there as the menu was affordable for everyone and always enjoyed really good food however when we arrived for the first booking in December the table wasn’t ready so we was standing around waiting was not too impressed but they apologised and was given a bottle of prossecco for the inconvenience so we sat and ate eventually, so we decided to give the benefit of the doubt and still keep the reservation I had made for January for my daughters 30th birthday celebration. I popped in a few days before to double check the reservation and was assured no problem our table would be ready for the 35 guessed we had coming at 7pm what a massive mistake when we got there early @ 6-20 to set up balloons etc. Only to find they hadn’t a clue and no table had been reserved. the place was full and no where to seat us after a very heated discussion we managed to find some where to sit and as others had started to arrive we had to try and rearrange tables and chairs ourselves as we was all over the place not all sat together as requested, the food was eventually served by the rudest inexperienced waitress ever, we had to wait well over an hour for our food with many guests being told they had run out of things and could we re order which we had another wait, children meals was coming out 2/3 times, the same meals and no adults meals, one of my guests waited nearly 2 hours and then their meal wasn’t complete or cold we asked to speak to the manager no one come over absolutely dissatisfied with the whole experience and will not be returning!!! Hungry horse you need to sort out your communication,booking system, waiting staff and most of all your kitchen, it may look very nice in there now it’s all been done up but it’s now the staff and organisations in there that needs a makeover as most of our guests had refunds last night you must have lost a fortune. From a very angry disappointed x customer.

I always eat at the hungryhorse pubs but the Baldwin lately is horrendous, on 3 separate occasions this month I have visited there and each time they haven’t got the food I’ve ordered, ordered chicken the first and second time and I’ve come here today and they have ran out of been burgers and fries, billesley hungry horse is 10x better

Decided to take family to pub last night for a meal as we have been many times before and had really good food. But last night was a total change couldn't work out whether it was still a hungry horse branded pub or changed back to the Baldwin pub. We ordered food and drinks two kids meals and two adult meals it wasn't long before food arrived kids meals were wrong had different veg to what was ordered and when we asked about this was told they would bring it out to us this never arrived. The adults meal wasn't cooked to how we had asked this item being steak and this piece of meat was the worst piece of steak I have ever tasted. We will certainly not be returning or recommending anyone to go there.

Came for food and the couldn't of got it more wrong.

All day breakfast we ordered no mushroom or tomato but it came on the plate

There was no butter for the toats. We asked for some and was just left until we went to the chef and asked again

And they forgot the beans

I myself had the full Monty mixed grill no peas

But they put peas on the plate

Starter we had bbq chicken wings- there was no flavour whatsoever on the wings they forgot the sauce

The pub wasn't even that busy so they have no excuse to not get orders right

Disgusted and even though it's my local won't be eating here again and will definitely make sure others won't either

Ate there tonight, I had jumbo fish & my son had a very rubbery cheesy double burger. We've both been very sick upon arriving home, it's not on!!! I've now got to keep my son off school....
