About Balletbesque
A ballet school run by Kellie and Carla who trained at The Royal Ballet School. Their love of ballet has inspired them to teach all ages from 3 to any age.
Balletbesque Description
Classes start from 4 years with Primary ISTD, we then follow the ISTD Classical Ballet programme from Grade 1. Children are able to take exams if they wish, or just come for fun!
We also run Adult Ballet classes in Forest Row and Crowborough for those wanting to continue their ballet training for a hobby after 18 (with no upper age limit! )
or even to get their ballet bodies and flexibility back after a few years off!
We can also offer Private Lessons for any age at any Grade /Level on Mondays in Crowborough.
Kellie and Carla met in 1992 when we were just 11 years old at
The Royal Ballet School in London.
Kellie continued her ISTD ballet training, and in July 2015 Kellie took her
Intermediate ISTD Ballet exam and passed with distinction in
order to take her Diploma in Dance Instruction with the ISTD.
Carla continued her ballet training with The Royal Ballet School until she was 14, then moved to The English National Ballet School, and then had a career with the Hong Kong Ballet!
Carla has also studied Pilates and Aerobics.
Carla is currently taking her Diploma in Dance Instruction with the ISTD.
Kellie and Carla perform with the Southern Youth Ballet Company in Eastbourne and performed in 'The Nutcracker' in December 2015, and with
Gilbert and Suillivan in 'H. M. S. Pinafore' in May 2016.
SYB take students from 9yrs old (or Grade 3 up), and we look forward to helping students pursue their dreams and perform with a real company in a full length production, should they wish!

Unfortunately, all children's classes today will be cancelled... Hospital trip takes priority. I'll keep everyone posted regarding adult ballet and keep my fingers crossed.
Just been informed that this lovely lady will have another of our students joining her at Elmhurst!!! I'm loosing all my students... So many mixed emotions. Happy and proud of all the work these girls have put in to get to where they are now but sad that I have to give them up. It looks like I'll be doing some seminars for my lovely lot for their returns in the holidays. 😢😊🥰😁
