Come along and support our Friends at Pepenbury, who are holding their Open Day, on Saturday 1st September 2012, from 12 noon to 4pm.
Come and join us then, for a terrific day of fun and entertainment set in beautiful countyside on our mainsite in Pembury.
'Pepenbury open day brings a great kaleidoscope of activity. Children can let off steam on the bouncy castle, whacking the rat, soaking the bloke, smashing crockery or having their faces painted in your favourite colour. C...limb over the fire engine and learn all about its operation from the fire fighters (emergencies permitting, of course!). There’s a huge treasure hunt, watch the Morris dancers, and the majorettes, buy some fresh vegetables and plants from our own Farm Shop or you can just sit back and listen to the band . Children love the friendly donkeys, ducks, chickens and small animals and enjoy the food from the coffee shop, BBQ and waffle stall. Do take time to learn how Pepenbury works from the information stalls or take a tour of the site. Here you can see how service users benefit from working in horticulture and cooking at the ‘Food4 Thought’ project. Check out the creative work in Acorns, the day services centre for design, painting and pottery. Examples will be on sale. And they even have their own Sailing Club. Find out how, where and when.'
