Staff extremely polite and courteous.

I would highly recommend Bankers for fish and chips.

Great value with great service.

Had lovley food in Bankers this evening. Service was surprisingly quick as the restaurant is new and very busy. The food was nice and the prices reasonable. Will visit again �

Had fish and chips from here tonight.

Absolutely lovely,not at all greasy and great flavour.

Service was excellent,very friendly and efficient.

Great quality fresh fish and chips, not greasy and not too long to wait for takeaway order. Worth queuing down the road for � Hope it does well! �

Great fish and chips (and I know good fish as my grandad used to work on trawlers out of Grimsby)! The kids enjoyed eating in too! Will definitely be back again

Fabulous haddock & cod + lovely big cut chips. Very clean, lovely staff, big portions (we both had medium fish & chips) which were too much even for me ! Would highly recommend.

Nice sized portions, staff were polite , chips could have been crispier though ! Would definitely go again and recommend ! �

Popped into Bankers on a Thursday night a few weeks back and I was really disappointed with the service I received. Lots of people were waiting around for their orders,some had clearly been there for a while and had been missed. The young guy who served me (who I think was bizarrely in charge) seemed to have a lot of banter but clearly didn’t understand his role and how to direct the staff. Such a shame as we were really impressed with the service when you first opened but clearly staff in the opening few weeks have gone back to other restaurants and new people have been employed and left in charge with not enough training. For the prices that you charge customers do expect a five star service I’m afraid.

Such a shame. Daughters went down during week. Came home with missing orders. Fish cakes very bland. Very disorganised. Won't be going to bankers again.

Second time coming here and yet again disappointed first they forgot some of my order had to drive back up to collect it then to find it still was not right! Came on Thursday Waited 20 minutes for 5x chip, two were supposed to be large but when I got home they were all small! Crap

Sadly, having to change my rating, I've had three meals from here since it opened, and on each occasion I've had to throw away the chips! Pies, sausages & fish are fine, but the worst chips... like rock hard bullets, crunchy crap or potato scraps!

Ordered a large portion of chips to share with the husband, portion was smaller than small. Really disappointing. Fish gougons were over cooked. Think the place is slowly going down hill. Tried to post a photo but won’t let me

My son had a meal in Bankers whilst the food was lovely they had to leave early as it was so smoky their eyes were watering and now they have got to go home for a shower as their clothes absolutely stink of grease and fat - what a shame really need extractors in there.

For the price very poor. Not hot at all. Forst experience was okay but my second experience very dissappointing. I will be returning to my regular fish and chip shop that are consistant on quality and 30% cheaper.

Fish was dry and seemed to have been cooked and left to go cold chips were cold. Very disappointing as normally they are piping hot.

Been a few times since opening !! Food has gone downhill �large chips at nearly £3 was a mix of hard chips and small Chipping’s awful and my fish had been broken in half ... seems to be run by teenagers without a clue ...was excited this was opening on my doorstep but not a patch on brighton or church road ... won’t be buying there again

Very expensive- 50% dearer than my local chippy- dire portions, I thought I'd been given a kids meal, and the fish was cold when I got home, and I live just two minutes away. It was clean but new and had five members of staff working there who took four attempts to get my order correct at the till. Not going back

Ordered and paid then waited and waited and waited whilst identical orders placed after me was served. Then they realised (after I asked) my ticket hasn't been put up.... how difficult can it be!!! ��

Not nice ! Really horrible got the wrong sausages that we paid for , chicken nuggets where white one side where they had so much salt on , large chips are really small chips

Never going back
