Autumn is here and the hops are hanging above the bar. The ales are darkening along with the weather and the specials board is becoming hearty. Pop down and reacquaint yourself with the Bankes and all the little delights the building has to offer both inside and out.

User

We have the awesome Retrogroovemob playing on Saturday night in the garden. Dance under the stars with the backdrop of the castle as a view.

We have just enjoyed a memorable stay at the Bankes Arms Hotel. What a lovely place! George and his team looked after us and provided friendly service with a dedicated personal touch. The rooms are surprisingly modern and very spacious. We didn’t spend all that much time in the room - preferring to explore the fabulous, pup-friendly back garden with its stunning views of Corfe Castle. The generous breakfast was delicious and fortified us for a day of hiking around the castle ruin. The Bankes Arms central location makes it possible to explore the village on foot and it is an easy drive to Swanage and the coast. We’ll be back, and in the meantime we recommend it!

User

We have just come back from an excellent stay at the Bankes Arms Corfe. As a family of 4 (2 adults & 2 children) I cannot fault the experience at all. From the moment I phoned to book our stay, I received excellent service, they couldn’t do more to help accommodate us. The pub itself is situated in a picturesque position with a fabulous back garden, with stunning views of Corfe Castle. The bedrooms were beautifully clean, comfortable and newly decorated. The breakfast was first class, and let’s just say you won’t need lunch!! The location is also perfect for exploring Studland beaches and Swanage. Highly recommend a stay at the Bankes Arms!

User

We booked well ahead as there were 12 of us. Menu was extra good pub food. Everything we had was good quality and plentiful, as was service and atmosphere. Open fire was very welcome on a raw day too. Not two minutes stroll from the train station and entrance to Corfe Castle, we thought this was an excellent choice for lunch and we weren't disappointed. Beer was good too!

User

Warm homely atmosphere with friendly helpful staff ! Menu good value . The bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. A great place to stay while exploring the historic area of Corfe Castle !!! Thank you for making my visit to this place most enjoyable 😊

User

Very Friendly staff and great food

User

Only dropped in for a quick pint. The service was good and pint of Palmers Copper, excellent

User

On holiday currently and dropped in for a drink one lunch time after we had been on a stroll with the dogs. Very friendly to us and the dogs. We decided to come back for an evening meal. The staff and the locals were so friendly and after the most fantastic steak and kidney pud and crab linguini we reserved for the next night. Again we have not been disappointed and could not recommend it more highly. Not only the food but the staff, the atmosphere. And value for money. Get yourself here.

User

Just returned from a very enjoyable two night stay. The hotel helped us to celebrate the 80th Birthday of my husband & his twin brother in style.

User

Great to see this pub open again. Good atmosphere, beer and food

User

Great pub Great beer and very good bar staff 👍

User

Fantastic service, very friendly people and great pub food for all, including those with coeliac disease. It was a real treat to have great variety of gluten free dishes, including desserts! We didn't mind paying the price because everything really was lovely & good value for money. The several nights eating at the pub this last week made our holiday a truly wonderful one, thank you to all the staff for your hospitality.

User

Fabulous place to eat. Food was served within a good time from when the orders were taken. Service was 2nd to none, friendly staff who couldn't do enough to ensure your needs were met. The food was superb. The general atmohere was light and friendly. The interior quaint and comfortable even when busy. I cannot recommend The Banks enough............

User

Dropped in yesterday (7 March 2018) for lunch, my first visit. Excellent food which arrived at the table within 10 to 15 minutes or ordering. Generous portions, well cooked and very tasty. The service provided by the bright and friendly waitress was excellent. The selection of ales was good and the landlord clearly knows how to run his cellar. Thoroughly recommended.

User

An unexpected delight! Food was absolutely fantastic (just popped in for dinner after walking nearby) - great attention to detail lots of veggie and Gluten Free options. Had the most delicious soup (garlic and leek) and hands down the nicest Gluten Free pudding I've ever had - homemade chocolate soufflé with ice cream. Lovely, friendly service too :)

User

After a long blustery December walk, we decided to eat here, and enjoy a welcome glass of wine by the cosy log fire. We were a group of four females plus dog, and were made to feel very welcome. The food wine and service was all faultless. All four meals were delicious and well presented, the cheese / pork pie ploughman's from the ' naughty nibbles' section was way more than a nibble and could have fed two ! We will definitely return next time we are in Corfe - thank you !

User

Came across this lovely place while visiting Corfe Castle. The beer garden had great views of the castle and the Swange Railway. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The only down side was that that they didn't have drinks suitable for small children. Only glass bottles , so had to buy a fruit shot separate for the kids from the post office next door.

Would recommend a visit.

User

The meal was good but we were seated next to French doors which lead into the garden the meant people were constantly going in and out! Very cold and disappointing as so many people including the staff did not shut the doors!!! Make sure you sit at the front of the hotel!

User

Great setting in a fantastic village ,food looked welcoming but was very quite for a lunch time as the village was teeming with customers, felt I little bit shocked at £3.95 for a ordinary pint of beer but I suppose that's what you pay in high season .
