We went here yesterday it was great the staff are friendly and there's a great atmosphere. The food is excellent we had the banyan plate and the sweet treat which was great, lots of different flavours that all went together extra well. I would go back here soon.

We came for Harrogate for the sake of a drive out , it was our wedding 🎩 👰🏼 anniversary & couldn’t decide if we wanted Harrogate or Whitby... Harrogate it was .. after having a look around for food we stumbled on BANYAN .... lovely location , cobble street just like Durham but with some sun , everything was hassle free ... staff were really friendly even giving us two free glass’s of prosecco for our anniversary ( we’ve been chatting) ... bottle of wine was put in a nice cooler with ice , we ordered food paid by Apple Pay , starter came & we shared that , main course came shortly after that , me wife had fish cakes & I had the chorizo burger 🍔 with fries ... both were really nice ... if you ever feel peckish & see this place , get yourself in you’ll be glad you did !

I had the steak pie with mash it was fantastic.

Also had a bottle of Shiraz , not the cheapest one but around £24 and it was fantastic .

Grace , our waitress ,could not have been nicer and more helpful an absolute gem .

Poached eggs on our eggs benedict were cooked perfectly. Staff professional and friendly. My grandchildren loved their breakfasts and the attention the staff gave them. Usually enjoy my lunches here with friends, so breakfast was a first, though not last.

Met a good friend for Sunday brunch this morning. The wrong meal was brought for my friend and the waitress couldn't apologise enough and went to sort the correct one. This took a few minutes. We were told that there would be no charge for this. We asked for 2 coffees and told these would be free of charge too. I had the American pancakes which were absolutely delicious. Would definitely go back next time I'm in Harrogate. Brilliant customer service. �

Lovely barman who made me a cocktail that wasn't on the menu exactly like I wanted it. Sitting outside enjoying the lovely weather. Great place will be back again.

I went for a meal last week for the first time at Banyan (15/6/17), chose steak much to the disappointment of my hubby as he knows how fussy I am on how I like it (no pink, no blood), and how often I send them back (95% of the time) if this isn't so (much to his embarrassment)! I had a really thick rump steak which was cooked to perfection (for me) but not only that it was the tastiest, moist and tender steak I have ever eaten!!!! Hats off to the chef that night and the staff who were very attentive, you made my evening, thank you all!! I will definitely be back :)

I rarely review but I just wanted to say what fantastic service we got from Hannah B this afternoon. She was the most friendly, attentive, helpful & smiley waitress we have ever had in our many years of coming to Banyan!! (And that's quite a few!) Keep up the good work x

Had a fantastic evening last Thursday at Banyan Harrogate. I had booked a cocktail masterclass with buffet for 4 friends. The booking process and questions were all handled promptly and effectively. Becky looked after us beautifully on the evening, the cocktails and food were excellent. We had such a fun evening so thank you to all the team, we will all be recommending you.

A massive thank-you to the waitress Grace, who's only been working at Banyan for a week. Her service was fantastic, such a lovely manner, and and absolute sweetheart.

It's always so easy to complain about poor service, not enough people compliment great service. We will definitely be visiting again!

Not been in a while and came yesterday for lunch. Lovely food and drinks altho very filling, was looking forward to trying one of the deserts off the menu but was too full after my burger �. My friend James wasn't too impressed that you don't sell Fanta but he said it won't stop him coming back as he enjoyed the food. Another thing was both my friends food came at the same time and I was waiting another 5 mins for mine, would have been nice for it to all come out at the same time but it was good non the less and will defo return again soon.

There was 6 of us celebrating my friends 50th birthday yesterday. We had great service from bar staff and service staff. Food was great. We asked for bill paid it and left the pub very happy only to be chased down the street and across the next road by a member of staff and told publicly in the middle of the street that we had not paid a drinks bill and ushered all 6 of us back to the bar to publicly humiliate us in front of other customers. Totally their fault but totally humiliated. Will be giving it a miss next time we are in Harrogate. Management is shocking

One member of staff accidentally spilt 2 pints on my Mam. The way the staff responded was not appropriate. The staff said that it was policy to refund the dry cleaning service. This was not appropriate for our visit as this did not suit our service. The staff member was initially sorry but continued to proceed with laughing to her fellow colleagues as though the incident was funny for them. Overall, followed with the opinion of other diners I would not rate the venue with high satisfaction comparing with other times I have visited this was disappointing
