Flashback Friday | The key for me this year is collaboration. I really wanted to push myself into working with other creatives that had past through the store. A few weeks back, Emma stopped by the store for the first time and we built up a good rapport. She asked if I’d be interested in collaborating with her and this square is a peek at what that looked like. I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with her and Reinold in the middle Shoreditch working on a shoot. Shelfie | Slowly but surely the shop is fitting back together stopping for lots of hugs which has just been so lovely. A new mini drop from Storm and Marie, Selected Femme and a new print capsule have been merchandised in and the shelves are looking beautiful. I get so many compliments and sale requests on the money tree. Mum bought it at a school fete as a small potted plant about 20 years ago and said I could have it earlier in the year. The best gift. It flowers too and no, it’s not for sale, although if you come on a day when Fred is in, he’d probably sell it anyway! Finally open tomorrow from 11am. New Day | Back in the building today. So lovely to see the Roman again. Lots of@hugs, cried a bit but also managed to soldier on and get the front of the shop finished. We had plans to redo the signage but in the end Fred and I can in and decided to work with what we had. Fred painted and cleaned board and cleaned up the signage and whilst the crack in the middle bothered me a couple of weeks ago, I Now this she’s kind of cute. Repainting inside will resume at some point when I have more energy. Group Hug | The last couple of days have been some of the most painful both physically and mentally that I’ve been through. I’ve cried my broken heart out. We all have and explained to Emelia that her little sibling wasn’t coming to live with us. Status Update | It’s all coming together. Fred did the last bit of paint removal so I could get on with reworking the shelving.
