it looks so nice in there, I don't know about anything else as I had a starbucks and my partner and his friends where the ones drinking

The restaurant was attached to our hotel. We did not book a table, the staff gave a perfect acceptable explanation why it’s always best to book. They made us welcome in the bar area while waiting for a table, it was so comfortable that we decided to eat in that area. The whole place was very clean, the barman was excellent very polite and helpful. We had steak, my self the ribeye and my wife the rump. Lovely presentation, both steaks cooked perfectly. All in all a great dinning experience. Would highly recommend.

My baby Grandson, Daughter and Son were made to feel very welcome.The staff were excellent. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was lovely and we had the express menu and the food came quickly in fact in less than 10 mins. Prices value for money. Keep doing what you’re doing we would totally recommend you and come again.

Didn't have to wait too long for food and it was very well cooked and extremely tasty. Didn't feel pressured to vacate table, although it wasnt overly busy when we were there. We booked here for a colleagues retirement meal and yes, the meal was nice as were the puddings. We had the burgers (one had the sea bass) however although the food was cooked literally across the room, we were sat in a window seat underneath an air conditioning duct which meant that on a cold winters night, we were bathed in cool air. This meant that not only we were a bit nippy but the food went cold quicker than normal. Other than that, food was fine as was the service. Just don’t sit under one of the air-con ducts!

The beef pop corn was excellent & the sirloin steak was the best I’ve had for ages & the £15.99 meal deal is excellent

After my wife and me left yesterday we were left totally satisfied with the quality of the food, surroundings and the quality of staff and service was exceptional.

We went on a day day out and ended up going here for the first time. Not the best at all. Firstly, no high chair for my child as there was only 2 in the whole place. Drinks took ages. It had no taste and It was like it had been frozen before and defrosted with no taste but over cooked and watery. Not juSt chefs fault but maybe bad cut of steak? Then partners came back, took a cut into it again. After been taken away for 10 minutes while I took mine away as I couldn’t eat it his was now over cooked and tasted of nothing and watery too!! Meant to be Steak and block place the l only think good was your staff said after I complained and refused to eat it you didn’t charge us for anything. Sill gave you 10 pound though as the drinks were about the only thing we couldn’t complain about. Would not recommend the steak and have plenty of time on your hands to wait �

Drinks order taken quickly and hubby enjoyed the beef flavoured popcorn. Order eventually taken. When the food arrived we were surprised by the size, quite small and I counted 10 chips, no veg or salad to accompany it. We had ordered onion rings which did not arrive until we had nearly finished our meal and to ask for them twice! Thought it was pricey considering what we had 2 main meals and a drink each - £47.50. Shan't be visiting there again�

My friend's main, well, if you went dry steak, no garnish and a small portion of fries... this is the place to come to! My friend had to plead for steak sauce.... needless to say we will not venture here again!

The only bonus to a £70 meal for two was the waiter who was very friendly.

We were 4 minutes in waiting for a person and my mom suggested we leave I said let's give them another minute luckily we were put on a table just after 5 minutes of standing around like lemons and it wasnt even busy. You have our money thanks to me suggesting to wait 😡



We ordered appetisers my mom was not to impressed with the bread with the melted herb butter I tried some and it wasn't very tasty. I had £5.50 chicken wings which looked nice you get 5 so that's £1.10 per wing. Two were pink inside and I spoke up to the waiter my mom was like leave it but she wasn't eating it.



Next was our mains she had a chicken salad which she said was nothing specials my £22.50 fillet steak came out more rare/ medium than Welldone.



I have seen another review about a fillet steak coming out out blue and the. Rare too.



I know it's a fairly thicker cut of meet however you would hope you are going to get what you ask for how you want not undercooked food or pink in the chicken.



Very disappointed I can't submit a 2nd star as much as I'd like to because overall we felt let down. Wasn't the waiters fault so we gave him a tip we are use to leaving tips more so in the states. Again you have me to thank for shy of £100.

Shocking service tonight walked in asked for a table guy was really helpful to begin with told us there would be a 40 minute wait for food which we were happy to wait for told us to grab a drink at the bar and he would come get us!!!! Sat there for half an hour and he didn't come for us even after trying to grab attention!!!! We would never come back to this establishment they all seem to be running round like headless chickens and have no idea were food orders should be going. If I could I'd give this place 0 stars!!!!

I know it's a fairly thicker cut of meet however you would hope you are going to get what you ask for how you want not undercooked food or pink in the chicken.



Very disappointed I can't submit a 2nd star as much as I'd like to because overall we felt let down. Wasn't the waiters fault so we gave him a tip we are use to leaving tips more so in the states. Again you have me to thank for shy of £100.

Shocking service tonight walked in asked for a table guy was really helpful to begin with told us there would be a 40 minute wait for food which we were happy to wait for told us to grab a drink at the bar and he would come get us!!!! Sat there for half an hour and he didn't come for us even after trying to grab attention!!!! We would never come back to this establishment they all seem to be running round like headless chickens and have no idea were food orders should be going. If I could I'd give this place 0 stars!!!!

Over an hour an a half and still no fucking food.

I’ve never experienced service as bad as this, our drinks weren’t made and forgotten, food wait was far too long and had to collect part of our order myself. If you want a stress free evening meal out, this place isn’t that...

it looks so nice in there, I don't know about anything else as I had a starbucks and my partner and his friends where the ones drinking

The restaurant was attached to our hotel. We did not book a table, the staff gave a perfect acceptable explanation why it’s always best to book. They made us welcome in the bar area while waiting for a table, it was so comfortable that we decided to eat in that area. The whole place was very clean, the barman was excellent very polite and helpful. We had steak, my self the ribeye and my wife the rump. Lovely presentation, both steaks cooked perfectly. All in all a great dinning experience. Would highly recommend.

My baby Grandson, Daughter and Son were made to feel very welcome.The staff were excellent. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was lovely and we had the express menu and the food came quickly in fact in less than 10 mins. Prices value for money. Keep doing what you’re doing we would totally recommend you and come again.

Excellent food & the service was great. They were very busy but still managed to find us a table & looked after us very well.

Everything was perfect,it was a lovely treat from my son for Mother's Day.Really enjoyed it,was looked after Well the whole time.Would recommend to family and friends.

Beautiful Sunday lunch, good service, nice little touches like a bowl of popcorn at the table and a bottle of water. Didn't have to wait too long for food and it was very well cooked and extremely tasty. Didn't feel pressured to vacate table, although it wasnt overly busy when we were there. Would definitely come again.

We booked here for a colleagues retirement meal and yes, the meal was nice as were the puddings. We had the burgers (one had the sea bass) however although the food was cooked literally across the room, we were sat in a window seat underneath an air conditioning duct which meant that on a cold winters night, we were bathed in cool air. This meant that not only we were a bit nippy but the food went cold quicker than normal. Other than that, food was fine as was the service. Just don’t sit under one of the air-con ducts!

The beef pop corn was excellent & the sirloin steak was the best I’ve had for ages & the £15.99 meal deal is excellent

After my wife and me left yesterday we were left totally satisfied with the quality of the food, surroundings and the quality of staff and service was exceptional.

We went on a day day out and ended up going here for the first time. Not the best at all. Firstly, no high chair for my child as there was only 2 in the whole place. Drinks took ages. Had a fairly standard starter nothing special about it. Took Half hour to take finished starters away after I’d told them. Eventually the steak come and my partner as for medium and got quite rare so that had to go back. My steak was overdone and as I bit into it it literally filled my mouth with water. It had no taste and It was like it had been frozen before and defrosted with no taste but over cooked and watery. Not juSt chefs fault but maybe bad cut of steak? Then partners came back, took a cut into it again. After been taken away for 10 minutes while I took mine away as I couldn’t eat it his was now over cooked and tasted of nothing and watery too!! Meant to be Steak and block place the l only think good was your staff said after I complained and refused to eat it you didn’t charge us for anything. Sill gave you 10 pound though as the drinks were about the only thing we couldn’t complain about. Would not recommend the steak and have plenty of time on your hands to wait �

The waiter took my starter away when I had finished what I could without ruining my appetite for my main course, which I expected to follow about 5-10 minutes later. I had not had the chance to catch my breath before my main course arrived - this was far too quick and I was not the only diner to experience this. In future I will avoid Premier Inns with a Bar and Block restaurant - I did not enjoy the experience.

Seated quickly and drinks orders taken..our meal order was taken quickly and that was it..no one offered us the popcorn no one checked if we were ok or needed anything else. Really bad service! We had to ask for a desert menu, and then attract waiter to take our order...main meal was ok but pricy for what you got nothing to accompany the steak and chips no side salad or anything quite poor actually. Deserts were not great we had 1 drink each was not approached to see if we wanted another 60.00 for 2....this was a Sat afternoon so I would hate to attend when they were busy. Would I recommend..No you can better better food and service for less!

Popped in here on Saturday as the Old Joint Stock was really busy. We were given a table but they said you need to be out in an hour and a half, which was ok with us. Drinks order taken quickly and hubby enjoyed the beef flavoured popcorn. Order eventually taken. When the food arrived we were surprised by the size, quite small and I counted 10 chips, no veg or salad to accompany it. We had ordered onion rings which did not arrive until we had nearly finished our meal and to ask for them twice! Thought it was pricey considering what we had 2 main meals and a drink each - £47.50. Shan't be visiting there again�

Won’t be coming here again !!



Poor service, asked for a well done steak and comes back bleeding for me and Chelsea. Lisa’s not well done but just eatable so now we’re eating at different time. ��

The portions were very small, they obviously do not know what garnish is. I left hungry, I would better off going to the chip shop. My friend's main, well, if you went dry steak, no garnish and a small portion of fries... this is the place to come to! My friend had to plead for steak sauce.... needless to say we will not venture here again!

The only bonus to a £70 meal for two was the waiter who was very friendly.



It all started from walking through the door with my mom. There was no one on the front desk. We were 4 minutes in waiting for a person and my mom suggested we leave I said let's give them another minute luckily we were put on a table just after 5 minutes of standing around like lemons and it wasnt even busy. You have our money thanks to me suggesting to wait 😡



We ordered appetisers my mom was not to impressed with the bread with the melted herb butter I tried some and it wasn't very tasty. I had £5.50 chicken wings which looked nice you get 5 so that's £1.10 per wing. Two were pink inside and I spoke up to the waiter my mom was like leave it but she wasn't eating it.



Next was our mains she had a chicken salad which she said was nothing specials my £22.50 fillet steak came out more rare/ medium than Welldone.
