Went to bar pop on Sunday and had an awesome night , the staff are so helpful especially Blondie who besides being absolutely hilarious kept us topped up with shots all night long . Best night out I’ve had in a while !! Loved it . xxx

User

Welcoming atmosphere, lovely staff and great music/vocals provided by wolfy!!! Didn't have to go anywhere else Had an amazing night!! Keep it up everybody!!!

User

The best bar on canal Street. There's no decrimination or prejudice. Everyone is welcome. John and Antonio and all the barpop team be it show team or bar staff or security are all friendly. A credit to the gay community xxxxx

User

The barpop staff/Family have been so kind and so welcoming to me and gave me the best experience I could ever ask for.

I may no longer be on there highly esteemed staff but I have enjoyed every second and minute of there banter and friendly atmosphere and I don't have any regrets or anything bad to say about this outstanding group.

Thank you all of barpop

User

Patter was top notch we were at the divas show and it was top class staff were friendly and welcoming had no complaints apart from they didn't understand my accent lol great night

User

Lovely staff that you can have a laugh with and reasonably priced drinks. The bouncer outside greeted us nicely and we were given a voucher to double up our drinks for an extra £1. When it came to closing time the security man went above and beyond his call of duty to make sure I got home safely and found me a taxi, asking my friend to keep me safe. Faith in humanity restored 👍🏼 Thanks for a great night, will definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic evening at Barpop on Sunday night. (18.03.2018) spontaneous night out after traveling 4 hours on a train, was well worth it. Amazing tunes and Cabaret performance. Big shout out to all the staff. sorry if I was a drunken mess. Had a lot of fun dancing all night

First time back in MCR in a long time & my first time on Canal Street. Was desperate to go after hearing great things from friends who are locals. Me & my sister had a great time in here & the fabulous Trolley Dolly (Sorry, I never asked her name?) Was brilliant! She stood and chatted with us & we had a right laugh. Will definitely be going in there again next time I'm in my favourite city. MCR & Bar Pop! Thanks every one!

User

Bar pop! What can I say! This bar is in heart. The gay village and is the best bar ever! I felt safe and secure every time I’ve been and the promoters and security are absolutely amazing and take care of everyone xxx

User

Amazing place! Would highly recommend. Lost my purse whilst on a night out here and it was safely kept in the office for me to pick up next day which I massively appreciated! Also love the DJ Wolfie

User

I love bar pop and at Manchester pride it was the place to be, being greeted at the door by the most wonderful personality that brought the room together and filled the place with life. Upon revisiting there recently I was sad to find that the pop had gone, only to find just a bar. The pop in your bar was Miss Anne Phetamin.

User

Went here las nite for a drink with my friend we was told after half 11 to closing time 3 maybe half 3 largess and vodka mixer wud be a pound they was until abwt half 1 til they changed the prices to 2.70 fr a pint and nocheap vodka mixer wasn’t impressed with this as I only brought abit of money out cse a fort the drinks prices were cheaper

User

The music could have been more up to date, or have a variety to please everyone, not just the older customers. Drinks werent great for what i paid, would have took a while to feel any effect off them. Toilets are vile and smell really bad. Didnt like the reference to ‘is there any jewish people in the room’ before letting the smoke machine off, which was extremely overused. Bouncers and staff are sound tho first time on canal street and i dont think ill be returning to bar pop.

User

Went in last night as part of a leaving due and we were having a good night until the door staff tried to go on a power trip! I had not done anything wrong unless dancing is now a crime? They attempted to throw me out so I asked to see the manager to be told "no" no wonder the place is empty with people like that on the door! Very unprofessional and would like an explanation into why I was not allowed to see the duty manager

User

We went to this bar last night and the DJ made an advance at my boyfriend, all he said was can you not touch me please and the DJ started making it very personal saying he was in a gay bar meaning it was fine for him to be groped. He called the security on my boyfriend and made a massive scene saying he had been aggressive. Then called him out on the microphone right before we left. This person made our whole experience very uncomfortable. I'd stay well clear of this place if that's the way the staff behave.

User

Terrible place. Refused re-entry due to apparently looking ‘wobbly’ (typing this as I am ‘wobbly’). You need to teach your door staff what intoxicated looks like as I was far more sober than the majority of the people you were serving alcohol to. Bar Pop is one of the reasons that the village is dying a death. You ruined my night and you ruined the village, a place I will never return to.

User

Reporting on behalf of a friend the toilets were apparently appalling and all the staff said was “ it is what it is so deal with it” with sick and all sorts in the toilet , over the toilet and walls so on that behalf she would not recommend To visit

User

I along with 2 of my friends went to this bar on Monday the 2nd of July with the intention of having a great time on or first trip away after our exams. We bought several drinks throughout the night and danced to the music. To our surprise several men approached the DJ booth and pointed out that we were Irish In a derogatory way.

My friend requested that a particular song to be played and completely dismissed her and a few minutes later after my friends had finished there drink the DJ made it there business to call us out and embarrass us in front of the whole bar. “Can I ask yeh a question girls in the front. Why are yeh nursing only one drink between yeh “ - even though we had bought several drinks each throughout the night and it just so happened that my friends had finished there’s.

Loved Manchester, loved the people but won’t be making it my business to go back to this bar again and won’t be recommending this to anybody for any future visits.

User

Don’t go here it’s the perfect example of RIP OFF BRITAIN!!!! They unknowingly up they’re prices by the hour people don’t notice as they’re getting more and more drunk ! The door staff are rude, the bar staff even worse, I visit Manchester a lot and this is one place I’d never ever set foot in again !!! Via, Centre Stage and New York are all friendly and with staff that are adults , oh and they don’t raise prices at other bars either , absolute con @ barpop, should be bar con !!!!!!
