love this place,this was my second visit here this year on a weekend break,love the bars upstairs & down,good dj's & nice outdoor space on a summers eve.

Wonderful atmosphere for our yearly zumba event

Went for my birthday with friends this may bank holiday. Great set out with two rooms of varied music. My favourite was James herkes, great mixing and helped me and my friends dance the night away :)

Not a massive club goer but loved Bar So this weekend. Fantastic atmosphere and the dance floor was full all evening....if that's not a recommendation, then nothing is!

Fabulous staff, including the door staff, and great service.

A fun night!

Great club, scene and drinks selection. Bar So Saturdays is definitely best way to spend your Sat night, with DJ James Herkes downstairs always keeping the good tunes on, smiling bartenders and huge selection of cocktails . Highly recommended!

Fantastic venue. Staff amazing and very supportive due to being on crutches. Staff polite and sorted out by reserving a table for me. If only I knew the name of the member of staff that helped throughout my evening. She was fantastic and made my evening perfect. Perfect venue and would come again

Fantastic service at the Bar So in Bournemouth! Erwan was a fantastic bar man for New Year's Eve! Very polite, fantastic service! Even went to the effort of tailoring my cocktail after I said I didn't like it to be so watered down- I like to be able to taste the drink not be served water. My friends were also served by him and he was very polite! Would definitely visit here again! Highlight of my trip to Bournemouth!

Fabulous outdoor terrace, Manager there was absolutely excellent, we were wonderfully looked after, spoilt and made to feel so welcome! Group of us walked up from Aruba after waiting over 30 mins to be served a drink, although Bar So was equally busy, we were served immediately! Thank you so much 😊💖

Always have a great time at Bar SO..... the sunshine, the cocktails and the music never let us down, we will be back

It's fun and good laugh can get a bit crowded but can't all pubs and clubs? Will be back soon

Good venue, was at a private party downstairs, the lady behind the bar was lovely. The guy who was singing was good. The big BUT though is the bar downstairs could have been better stocked, as people were going upstairs to get the drinks they wanted.

Otherwise a great place and would go there again.

Had a good night last night apart from having mine and my friend phones stolen out of my bag which put a downer onto the end of our night 😡

The worst bar in Bournemouth...... empty unwelcoming and disgusting lager, would never recommend this place EVER!!!

Rubbish..the toilets seem to be from the Stone Age.I never seen toilets like this in the clubs from Romania,for same kind of people,same dress,same music!And finally,who want to see some pretty nice girls and a pleasant atmosphere,is invited to see what a club looks like in Bucharest.Cheers!

I was out tonight for my 21st birthday and wanted a cocktail and a boogie with my mum, so we decided to visit Bar So.

It was 10:40pm, and after having a cocktail and realising that we weren't able to dance here (seeing as there was no atmosphere to dance), on my way out, I tripped and caught my heel on the worn and broken step. I ended up falling onto the concrete pavement and grazed my ankle badly. I fell onto my elbow and wrist and the bruise immediately was apparent.

This is NOT the main reason for this complaint. It was the LACK of concern and due care and attention by the bouncers and staff of my situation that made the experience even worse than it was.

I was not drunk and simply slipped, but the bouncers showed no care or concern for my welfare.

Instead of being worried for me, they laughed to my face at the fact I had slipped and that it was my birthday too. I told them straight away not to laugh, and it wasn't funny. This is what made me the most angry. I don't not care to be laughed at and told "You just missed your step" which in all fareness I did, but I don't need a person who is supposed to be caring for the customers laughing in my misfortune.

My mum who was with me was horrified by the lack of care and responsibility that the staff showed.

I asked for ice for my foot, which didn't appear, even though the bar was empty and there were staff hanging around.

The fact that no manager came out to check if I was ok was terrible, as there were only 5 other members of public in the venue.

I have seen many bouncers in different venues in Bournemouth, as I have worked in a management position in the industry, take more care and be more proactive in the assistance in a situation like this, and I think it is disgraceful how I was treated tonight.

I will not be returning to this venue anytime soon, and will inform my friends and colleagues about this incident.
