I went to the monthly 'indie night' last night. *sigh*

firstly they had a huge bar crawl in there and didn't play a single 'indie' tune. I understand with something like that they want to keep them there buying drinks BUT some people have actually paid to come to a specific night and hear some good music. Then once the bar crawl cleared out the music didn't really get much better. Yes they played a few classics, which tbf If I hadn't of waited an hour in the first place would have been alright. They couldn't play a single song that I suggested (and I suggested quite a few bands that they claimed would be played in the fb description). I am not your worked up indie snob and I expected generic classics, fine, love it. But after hearing half the songs I probably could have heared in popworld on a Saturday night, I was extremely disappointed. Never going back.

I've had the pleasure of traveling the world, which ofcourse leads to many pub visits. So here it is, this place is the single worst pub/club I've ever been at. The drinks are expensive, staff are arrogant and the place is seriously dirty. My friend pulled his ID out his pocket on request from the bouncers and dropped his lighter at the same time, some bald tosser from security picks it up and after asking for it back, he replies "what you going to do about it?" I've been in better Bars in Mozambique, in the south eastern part of Africa. Do yourself a favour, go anywhere down the road for a good time. Bar thirteen, I hope you go bankrupt�

Disgraceful behaviour from the bald head bouncer who said to my friend, “you can get in anywhere with an ass like yours” when we asked him what time our ticket expired as we didn’t want to lose out on our place to get in.

We then confronted him and he looked me in the eye and said that “You [me] weren’t even there” and “You asked for a lighter!?” I’m am disgusted at how he is still working there. Sexism in plain site.

We posted on Twitter and it is clearly know that this particular man has already been complained about and nothing has been done. How dare he. I am furious. It ruined the night. Never coming to Bar 13 again and I recommend everyone else does the same.

Be careful! Same as many other reviewers below I was physically abused by the bouncer of this place.

I took three hard and direct punches in the stomach which left bruises.

The conflict was with one of them because I was standing in "their side" of the sidewalk, I had just walked out.

I then tried to call other bouncer to let him know of the punches I took and not only he refused to call the manager, but he threaten me with a "couple more" if I didn't go.



I have pictures and I'm decided to build a case against this person.
