BARB is a registered charity that operates two life-saving rescue hovercrafts and an inshore rescue boat in the Bridgwater Bay area. We assist HM Coastguard, the Police and beach wardens in all aspects of search and rescue.

The protection and preservation of life, in particular but not exclusively, by providing a team of trained volunteers with the skills to provide a Search & Rescue Hovercraft within the Bridgwater Bay area of Somerset, with the aim of assisting other emergency services, statutory agencies and the public.
