Not sure what is the problem but looks like every person I spoke to tells me different thing, making easy task a difficult one.
Tried to open account so got one appointment booked, turned out I can't use my tv licence as proof of address any more, although it was acceptable couple weeks later when I booked appointment.
Booked another appointment which was 3 weeks later, was gonna use HMRC letter as proof of address which was gonna be okay.
2 days before the appointment I call in to check the appointment is still on, finding out they don't have any appointment booked for me..
Spoke to someone who promised sorting another appointment same day but haven't heard from them any more.
Finally spoke to customer service and booked appointment over the phone in Barclays in Radlett for next day(only 2.5 miles away).
Went, sorted, took less than half an hour. My tv licence was okay after all, very nice lady, no problem with anything.
Barclays at Watford High Street don't deserve even one star, shame..

It is fair to have a very incompetent staff. Who looks at you and does not know what to say when you address a problem. I personally can not get my money off my account. From work they can not pay salary. They blocked my account and they do not care that I do not have money to buy meals or to go to work. At work I have not been for three weeks that I have no money. I'm very disappointed with the staff there. I wore on the roads. I was going to her bank and told me to call this number when I was calling they told me to go to the bank. And so for a whole month.

There are not a lot of staff but the staff work fast and are friendly

Two staff to serve 50 waiting customers? Really Barclay's? No concierge, just a schoolboy with a tablet who doesn't know what he's doing. You need to employ more people who are competent. Place akin to a zoo and the manager needs replacing if this is how the branch is run.

Self-service only except for business and foreign exchange customers. If you are a private customer who needs personal help you have to stand around looking helpless and hope that a member of staff notices you and takes pity on you. Great for cost-cutting but very poor customer service. "At Barclays, we're committed to putting our customers at the heart of everything we do." Really? It looks more like you are committed to cost-cutting in order to increase profits, share price and top executives' salaries and bonuses.
