Nice site .toilets for tourers really good .kept immaculate. No lighting on touring pitch which makes the place really dark and difficult to see when going to toilets.pitches are not the biggest and not much room to parks your car.friendly staff.launderette a bit expensive. You will need a sky box if you want a TV signal.all pitches fully serviced and plug in satellite.

What a complete waste of space this company is. Bought a brand new caravan with an internal door missing and no one was aware. I had to get onto Swift for them to sort it out which has still taken 3 weeks so far and still isn't sorted.
The place is run by a pensioner and a few girls who haven't got a clue what they are doing. They said we would get a demo of our new van, this never happened. They kept saying they were short staffed, but that's not the customers problem. We had a motormover fitted but we didn't have a clue how to work it as no one had time to show us. We had to figure it out when we got home. When you call, no one calls you back. Avoid at all costs and they will fill you with empty promises!!

Well done Bardsea and thank you.

I’ve been a caravan owner for over 25 years and bought a good many caravans in that time, all purchased from major dealers in the north west of England. Anyone who has bought a number of vans probably has a few tales of buying a brand new caravan and discovering a unforeseen problem. Its when follow up support is needed that the true merit of the dealership is realised.
I’ve just bought my first caravan from Bardsea Leisure and can honestly say it was the best buying experience I have ever had when dealing with caravans. I was trading a twin axel van (with mover) and it was arranged that the swop over took place on the caravan site at Bardsea. Two vans parked overnight and the contents of the older one moved into the new one, simple. However the mover, which was also to be swopped over presented major difficulties when it was discovered that the extension bars had become completely seized with rust. Despite being extremely busy and missing their lead engineer they pulled out every stop to get us sorted out. From receptionist and shop worker to sales team and owner we were treated with the utmost care and consideration. I will definitely be using them when it comes time to renew this present van. If you have ever been unhappy about follow up support or just consider it an important element when buying a van and want the security of a company that really cares about customer satisfaction its worth any extra miles you may have to travel to use this family run business. I will.

They stored a brand new Bailey Orion caravan for us awaiting our return from holiday, which we had already paid for in full. When collected by a transport company, the driver complained that it was absolutely filthy, covered with mould, leaves etc. They replied "no point in cleaning it as you will get it dirty delivering it." When it arrived, we couldn't believe it was new. There were (from memory) 28 faults with it, and it had obviously not been checked properly prior to delivery. I reported all the faults and provided pictures. Apart from the receptionist, who was very helpful, nobody could care less. I tried to reject the caravan immediately, but distance selling laws at the time said that as the purchase date was when I paid for the caravan, it was too late. I ended up spending weeks fixing all the problems and cleaning it properly.. Bardsea Leisure and Bailey were totally unhelpful. With our purchasing experience completely ruined, and everything now fixed and as new, we sold the caravan unused. Needless to say we lost a great deal of money, and bought a used German caravan.. This all happened over 2 years ago, and I just happened to stumble upon reviews for Bardsea Leisure today. If I can help just one person avoid the frustration and disappointment we experienced, writing this review will have been worth it.
