'Hello' I am Simone Steele, I am a photographer based in Cornwall and I specialise in portrait shoots for the heart and mind. Taking photos makes me feel alive and motivated, and I want the people I photograph to feel that way too. It is my aim to help raise people's self-esteem and boost their confidence; it's something I feel strongly about, and I believe that I have the right personality to do it. I'm not any kind of therapist, but if one by one, I can help individuals to feel good about themselves and live happier lives, that would be a great achievement. When I'm photographing someone; I'm engaging my creative side and I'm having a great time - so it's not just my clients that feel the benefits of my shoots! So why BareNaked Photography?It might seem an unusual name choice for a photography business, but to me it is perfect. It reflects my aim; to help people feel comfortable in their own skin and comfortable enough in my company to be themselves. I do things differently - by keeping shoots fun and uncomplicated. I use limited amounts of equipment as I prefer to shoot using mostly natural light, having said that, it can be fun using a small amount of flash. At the moment I have fallen in love with a vintage lens and flash, both of which are producing some gorgeous, soft but real-life images. Shoots are always on location and you can choose the location if you wish, especially if you have a favourite place that makes you feel happy. Top of my list is to make shoots completely fun, totally memorable and uplifting. Using personal belongings as props and dressing up in your favourite outfits can really add to your experience and give you a varied collection of photographs as a result.
