As has been mentioned, definitely not your typical Bargain Booze. As well as your standard lagers, wines etc there is a seemingly inexhaustible supply of craft beers, with no shortage of local breweries represented. Following the refurbishment, and with growler takeaways imminent, this place isn't resting on its laurels either.

REAL ALE MECCA!!! NOT YOUR AVERAGE BARGAIN BOOZE!
Around 3 years ago I asked if there was any chance of getting a few more real ales in to add to a fairly small, ersatz selection. I went in the other day and there were yet more new arrivals to add to the must be over 100 ales already on offer. Ales from £1 - £43 a bottle to suit all palates. Local ales well represented and international craft breweries too, such as the excellent Nest Brewery from Japan. Full credit to Paul and the team - the selection is second to none and refreshingly priced too. Well worth a visit.
