Another great night for the Under 10s. Amazing progress through the season.

Well done to the 3rds, who exacted a bit of revenge for our 2nd team’s disaster by beating Newcastle & Hartshill 3s on Sunday.
Youngster Oliver Moore continued his excellent start to the 3rds’ season with 3-27 and 24, with Elliot Wilson adding 3-20 and a destructive 45 off 23 balls as we knocked off 117 for the loss of 4 wickets.

At the end of every Women's Festival, a player is nominated for providing the team with a "prosecco moment". Here was ours....

The Cricket World Cup is going great guns and our juniors are being inspired by their heroes. We’ve had children going to several games, including England’s defeat to Sri Lanka on Friday.
Great of the England team to sign autographs and spend time with the kids after the match, despite their disappointment at the result. #rolemodels #legends

Good luck to our women’s team, who make their debuts in softball tournament at Checkley today.
After plenty of practice and a run out for many against our juniors on Friday, they are primed and ready. Watch out world!

The epitome of ‘mixed fortunes’ today for the 1s and 2s. Firsts recorded a fantastic win vs Woore. After posting 242-7dec (Jon Taylor 56, Mitch Bromley 51*), we bowled them out for 100 to win by 142. Leigh Matthews 5-54, Jack Davies 5-43)
The 2nds performed embarrassingly. After losing the toss on a tough wicket we crumbled to 22ao (Extras 8*). Newcastle & Hartshill knocked this off for 2 wickets. One to forget!

Tomorrow sees the return of cricket in the sun. ☀️
The firsts entertain Woore Cricket Club, with our home grown county cricketer, Tom Taylor, playing his first home game of the season.
The 2s head to Newcastle & Hartshill.

A brilliant night in the sun, celebrating the ICC Cricket World Cup. Ten teams in parent vs children games of diamond cricket.
The winning team was.... India. Let’s hope it’s not an omen.

Our Cricket World Cup Party is going great guns. We’ve had loads of laughs, smiles squeals of delight and tantrums after getting out (and that’s just the parents!).
BBQ going strong, sun shining and tunes blaring.

A reminder that tomorrow’s junior night is our World Cup Party. We are having a mini World Cup cricket tournament (children and parents) a BBQ (Free for juniors), World Cup competitions and more.
Come along and join the fun.

Not quite the sunny weather we’ve become accustomed to, but another great session with the All Stars. We worked on running between the wickets and batting.
Also great to see the women’s softball team up at the training session working on some drills.
