Went for a meal here with some friends last night... it was great!! Great food for a great price, staff were all lovely and concidering how busy it was they done a great job � new decor is nice to, hope it stays nice and clean!

Was great before they had a refurb, and even better now!

Very good service food was value for money !

You get what you paid for if I had to make a negative comment would be the quiz masters micro was too loud

My fiance and his mum and I go into this for dinner some times and the food is great they must have a new onwer for a while it was not good

Haven't been to the Barley for long time, it was looking really tired and the atmosphere was gone. We noticed the pub had recently been refurbished and thought we would give it a try and glad we did. The food was fab and the decor is very nice. The staff were great and very quick to serve food and drinks. Overall I'm very happy that my local is a great place to visit again.

Had a lovely meal today at the Barley Mow, food came really quickly and was lovely.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, gammon was perfect and highly recommend the Bailey's sundae for those that love Bailey's

Great pub, lovely atmosphere and staff are lovely. Really well looked after by the manager steff. Will be going back next time we visit Banbury.

The food was lovely and reasonably priced at just over £21 for 3 adults complete with soft drinks.. the staff were nice and friendly too 😊

Not bad to be honest, children's meals meals £4.50 main pudding and drink...fajitas not bad and my husband had the ultimate mix grill... then pudding aero mint sundae... was lovely... there was only one lady (Faye) working and the chef, Shame there wasn't anyone to help tidy up and serve.... only down side the toilets but they have always been abit scruffy and undated

My wife & I went to the Barley Mow last Wednesday, I had a mixed grill & the wife had a chicken & rib combo! Both meals were hot & tasty & the service was quite quick to be honest, but it can be slower when they are busy!

Since it has had new management we have found the food far better now than before, but the one thing that seems to be consistent is not enough staff behind the bar, especially when it gets busy!

I hope that will change when it reopens after the refurbishment!

We do use the pub a lot for food & have found it has been much better recently, & we enjoy the selection on the menu!

Today's service, the food was over cooked plates wernt slizzling the kitchen staff had there music so loud you could hear through the restaurant, normally good quality for money standard's slipped today.

So the “refurbishment” Is repainting existing woodwork outside, with new signage & carpets. So I wouldn’t call it “ the new” barley mow.

Ate Sunday afternoon, and there was a few free tables.

Ordered our meal and waited 40minutes. Steak ordered Med-Well came out as rubber. Every table received a check back, but ours by the gentleman who would casually wiped a table clean, with the lady running the food looked exhausted & was running about trying to clear tables too.

“Sizzling Skillets” didn’t sizzle at all. Signage stating more from the grill, but not a new menu.

For a busy bank holiday I don’t think they staffed the place to accommodate. 1 food runner, 1bar person, 1 table cleaner and I’m guessing 1 cook.

Beer Garden - dirty glass everywhere, and stayed out there the entire duration of our meal.

We were looking forward to seeing the “new” barley mow however nothing has changed. So wouldn’t rush back

Had breakfast, waited half an hour for it to be cooked and it was burnt and cold when it came out. Manageress was sat in her pyjamas in the public bar having a staff meeting!

yes fair good pub to go to on hot summers day um food was okay had a meal there once but it took age to get are order when it finley arrived it was bit cold but it okay nice garden for the kids to go and let off some steam .Nice pub to where you can go and have few drinks .

What can you say apart from what a disgrace food was absolutely horrid

We had to wait nearly 1 hour for our 2 meals , rude unfriendly bar staff also a big problem. Decent affordable food but staff need a big kick up the backside...

Sent food back , was not what I ordered , always short staffed , cutlery filthy , and what is with the wet lettuce that is slung on the plate ???Alsoi don't want to be referred to as sweetheart by waitress , I will not be returning until they sort food and staff problem �

Nice food however the staff are awful. Went here last night and having a nut allergy my partner asked if the brownie contained nuts and the guy serving said “I don’t really know to be honest...I wouldn’t risk it” there was no confirmation

It's totally gone down hill, they often have no plates, glasses, beer...the basics required for a pub restaurant. A real shame as it used to be a really good local.

Been here before and food was lovely, tonight not so good, chicken wings were a little over done but ok, had hunters chicken for my main and the chicken was overcooked, quite dry and slightly burnt on the outside, the onions that it was laid on were terrible, so dry and tasteless....not sure if we'll be back again �

Took 20 min to order food with just one poor bloke behind the bar by which was told it's 30 min wait as the chef isn't there and whoever is in the kitchen shouldn't be!! 10 min later they tell us they don't have the kids order.. food arrived 45min late by a older women who frankly shouldn't be serving customers!!! The food looked awful and when we told her she rude and unhelpful. We both had pie which had been cooked/nuked so much the filling was crusty. The gravy despite being luke warm had clearly spilled over the pot and crusted to the pot was and mess and my friends chips were cold! When we commented about the state of the food the told us she had seen it plated so we were wrong and what did we expect her to do about it!! ...... we decided it was inedible and asked to speak to the manager who was seen to have a go at the poor bloke behind the bar and said she would come out of the kitchen when she was ready....... 15 min later no Yvette to be told she's too busy with other tickets whilst the mess she served us sat on the table. I ended up getting a refund from the poor bloke left bwhind the bar for the meals only and can not believe that any manager can refuse to see her customers! Absolutely disgraceful. Understaffed or not I am more disgusted by her lack of customer service than any part of the experience. I will be putting in a complaint to the brewery. I left having wasted a hour of my life, hoping for a simple quick dinner having eaten nothing!!! I will not be going to whilst under this management.

I suggest they sort their staffing out and develop their customer service skills!!!

Staff rude food a disgrace think gordon ramsey would close it down as the food is not up to anything not even my dog would eat that. Since the big chain took it over its been down hill ever since.

There are plenty of other good family pubs in the area i would avoid the barley mo at all costs. Such a shame.

The last two times we’re been meals were awful. The Mixed grills had burnt sausages sizzling plates luke warm cold chips. Won’t be rushing back. Seems to have gone downhill in the last month. Did complain on both occasions.

Shite food that took an hour to arrive for one person. I ordered messy Mexican chicken on a skillet but it came in a bun. The plate was hot but the food was cold. Not enough staff and very poorly managed. Never again.

Ordered mixed grill. Took 50.mins. to come out. The plate was half filled with onions.( Not on menu)If I wanted onions I would have asked for them. Steak was chewy like rubber.Complained to no avail. Said he would ask what cut was used. Didn't bother coming back to me. Ordered sweet after an hour asked where it was. He said what did I order. Didn't even apologise. Basically I paid for a load of crap. Bad service, bad attitude, rubbish food.

Lipstick on both glasses and when I went back to the bar no sorry just ill tip it into another glass!! I had dirty cutlery and moldy hash on the sizzling breakfast. Staff were rude too

When I asked I was told it’s whatever they can get out faster goes out although I had ordered a burger and had seen some go out. When arrived it had stuff on that I said with out so the lady took it back only to bring it back 5 odd mins later with the same stuff I didn’t want. I wasn’t sending it back again I waited long enough. Chips stone cold. Pudding were ok even tho came with cream when asked with ice cream as don’t like cream and one of our table didn’t even get there puddings. Then you hear people shouting/arguing in the kitchen. Whole thing was a joke. Shame as was looking forward to going there

Came for a meal tonight 17/11/17 brought a drink was lookin at menu went to order and what do you no kitchen closed due to a problem in kitchen on a Friday night at 8pm place poor service no apology nothing but next table the got served food as we was leaving
