Rustic pub in the middle of Warrington offering low priced good value meals together with a selection of good beers at competitive prices.

Me and my Daughter had a Shopping day yesterday....Sunday. We called in for a drink and and sandwich but ended up having a meal. Really nice Burger and very good value for money. Lovely cozy atmosphere, we will definitely be back very soon......

Love this place. Been coming here for years. People are friendly & when I do have food, it's very nice. Definitely recommend

I have been to the Barley Mow many time, it has a good variety of foods on the menu at a reasonable price, & very impressed on the selection of vegetarian foods on the menu too. Made to feel welcomed and had a friendly atmosphere. I recommend this public house, and definitely will be dinning here very soon.

Popped in with my wife and two teenage lads for breakfast on a Saturday morning - couldn't fault the food, it was lovely - we had two breakfast wraps, Welsh rarebit and a full English, two lattes, a coke and an orangina and the price came to a very reasonable £18 - amazing really! All in a pub with a decent bit of history and character.

Service was good, food was well presented and the staff very friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we go shopping!

Nice cheap food. Girl behind the bar v helpful when we had a vegan food query.

User

From the little I seen of it is quite a nice pub..

User

Food was ok there was half a salad on my burger and no tomatoes or cucumber on it literally a piece of lettuce which I had to pull off as it was slimy and the onions didn't look to good on my nans sandwich

Booked for a staff Christmas night out (booked it weeks ago) some confusion over the free bottle of prosecco offer but it was kindly honoured by the lady on the bar. little bit annoyed we booked the meal in advance, after our second course a waiter came over to tell us 2 of the desserts on the set menu were sold out.... considering it was booked in advance I would of hoped that we could of had what we actually ordered for dessert.

User

Visited today , would not recommend to anyone , Sunday lunch yes was reasonably priced but not very nice at all , smash !!!! Beef was dry , just no taste whatsoever, Will not be visiting again .

User

Very disappointed on my visit today been here a few times and raved about it but not today, ordered 5 meals, returned 1 as the chicken burger was so burnt u cud smack it on the table with a thud, the club sandwich the toast was so burnt ya cudnt taste the rest but cudnt be arsed sending that back as well as staff wasnt impressed the first time, fish platter was terrible curry as thick as wall paper paste, fish had no taste wat so ever, totally disgusting only 2 out of the 3 meals was ok... will not be going again..

User

When the menu says onion gravy so they literally just throw some cold red onions from the burgers onto your hard mash and terrible sausages and then the rest of the order was wrong anyway. Disgusting food

User

The women behind the bar is miserable and absolutely ridiculous with a face like a smacked arse! Get rid of her she's horrible!!!

User

The one star is for the pie I had ,certainly not anything else.

Popped in yesterday for first time with my Fiancee , started off with good vibe about the place, was waiting to be served at the bar, landlady ( i take it to had been ) rudely abruptly told us to go to other end of the bar to be served, yes, not a problem but the look she gave myself was not called for.

Food ordered , didnt wait long , and was worth the wait but the staff were very cold/distant and no friendly easy going vibe about the place , only got better when took our drinks outside.

Would I go back again ??? Not unless a change of landlord/landlady and staff picked up tips on better customer service skills.

All in all the service could be better , couldnt surely be any worse than what it is now.

Weatherspoons for me now on and The Blue Bell.

User

Nornally the food is nice but on this occasion it waa awful wrong order ordered steak came with no steak knife onion rings service was awful

I can understand that it was a busy day and was told that for meals was a 45 minute wait. I didn't mind waiting but it got to the point I had to ask a member of staff after 1hr and 10 mins wait. It came eventually there was 4 of us dining. The meals were very disappointing Indeed. Everything was over cooked and cold, we ate what we can because we was so hungry. I can safely say we would not be dining there anytime soon.
