The only requirements are that you’re 12 years and older unless you’re experienced with horses.
Pop us an email or text Sam on 07568313922 for more info 👍🐴

Would like to say thank you to Ian today for allowing the clear round to be put smaller and, also run another smaller class for a, few of us that needed it after we went to another show to find out it cancelled and tried barlylands on way home my 5 year old granddaughter still got to do show because of Ian. Thanks a lot.

We first visited Barleylands on the 22nd October after being recommended it by friends, the staff were very friendly the arena is harrowed properly after every class with great courses and a good selection of fillers, we returned again today and got the same welcome as before and again the courses were changed accordingly and arenas harrowed, a great venue that's just starting out, keep up the good work

User

Love the size of the school now and surface is so much better than before . Keep up the good work :)

User

Love barleylands and my horses do to, always jump good there, and nice big Lorrie park excellent 🐎😊😊

User

Lily has been attending riding lessons with Nicole at barleylands for about 9 months. We have always found everyone there to be very friendly & helpful. Would recommend without hesitation.

User

I’ve just attended the Show Jumping Clinic run here today and thoroughly enjoyed it! Good structure to the session, well run and very helpful - great morning, thank you!!

User

I have been away from riding for over 20 years ,and wanted to see if i could go back to it.And thanks to Marylyn (sorry if i spelt it wrong) i have done it on the lovely Flo, cannot fault my first time back, i had a lot if support from people and i am going to continue ,lovely people very friendly ,and helpful .Thankyou Marylyn and my great hubby for letting me do this i know how worried you were xx

User

Had our first arena XC today and I loved it! The lady doing the lessons was lovely and understanding on what some people could or couldn’t do and everyone had a lovely morning! Can’t wait for the next one xx

User

Friendly an helpful atmosphere, outside arena was great to ride in. Was a great day, an will be back again soon. Great venue

User

OK time for a review Barleylands EC, after watching this venue develop over the last year and a bit, I can say that the outside surface is improving all the time now its settling in, like everything needs time to mature and is now a nice surface, the friendliness and relaxed atmosphere has always been there and its lovely to see the Senior BS shows well attended, the cafe is a nice place to go and hide from the rain with a nice selection. Looking forward to the summer shows here we're so lucky to have this venue running BS shows so regularly. Keep it up Barleylands you're doing great. (We don't go to the inside arena so can't comment on that).

User

I think that they should change judges for every few classes so people entering more than one get a fair chance xx

User

I asked earlier in the week on the Bsja page regarding barleylands Eq well i have got to say was impressed with the venue it was lovely and clean not a drop of mud in the hardstading car park and the ring was nicely laid out didnt have to worry about it being frozen either. Yes the school does go slightly deep in places but they harrow inbetween every class didnt see any horses struggle or slip over. Will be giving it another visit for sure nice easy route to get to as well. Great cafe and friendly people

User

Fabulous and welcoming new Centre. Second visit showing today, which was thoroughly enjoyable :) Food was lovely and great that spectators can watch in the dry (and warm) seating area.

Could I make a suggestion (hope you don't mind) especially for first time visitors? Signposts to the parking area (tad confusing as a first time visitor)? and maybe cars in one area and lorries/trailers in another area? Parking area was very busy today and a complete stranger wanted to move my horse(!) from my lorry so their vehicle could squeeze between my lorry and another trailer (could have been avoided if sign posted).

User

Came to halloween jumping event and was very worried for my daughter and our horses safety. The indoor school was way to tight for the bigger horses and the surface caused a number of accidents which could have resulted in injuries. There was a big outdoor school which should have been used. We were going to do the team event next month but won't be now as it is way too dangerous.

User

Shame, could be a really nice venue but surface was very poor resulting giving way under the ponies footing leading her to falling over. £10 a class plus first aid when no first aided come to check rider out. When asked to have menege harrowed with tractor instead of racked by hand was told it would be done, however, did not happen and later being told another pony fell over in the same place!

User

Not very impressed. Am here now waiting for the first class which was supposed to start at 10am yet there’s not even anyone around at the ring to say what’s going on.

User

Nice venue however the indoor school was very slippery and too tight for the bigger horses. All of the horses seemed to be slipping over in the same place due to the ground in the indoor school. My mare skidded in the corner, however managed to find her feet so I didn’t fall but many others did. Last time I went I found that the surface on the outdoor school was a lot better for the horses and wasn’t as slippery, and the bigger horses have more room to get around.

User

Never wrote a comment but firstly my impression was nice location but when watching little ponies having slipped over and witnessing a boy landing on the ladybird jump with no first aid and parents mocking children and there children laughing at others the list is endless and this is my daughters first show here and I feel you just wanted to make you aware of this my son has played rugby albeit a team game there was no encouragement from no one I'm totally disappointed with your set up a lovely day and at least have the ponies in the indoor school. Or at least be given the choice where you would like to ride your horse/pony indoors or outside.

I feel this is another money making scheme shame on this all good having the facilities and not using them.

I praise Eastminster Riding they are happy to help
