Barnacre Alpacas

Marsden wasn't happy today he volunteered for this afternoons walk and talk and he didn't get picked so he didn't get to go and eat the nice lush grass on our walk or get fed carrots. We like to let the boys volunteer and we try and keep a spare alpaca out so everyone gets to chose one! Poor Marsden hopefully you'll get a go later in the weekend 😘

Kidding has begun, April has had a lovely little boy. She almost put on a show for our walk and talk visitors but decided to hang on until they had left!

We had a great day at Westmorland County Show yesterday and came home with a great haul of rosettes and sashes including reserve Supreme Champion for Barnacre Tori

What a fantastic opportunity to get up close to these gentle animals, thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Barnacres along with our 2 teenage daughters who loved it, and Thor the goat and the white cat made my youngest daughters day! Would definitely recommend a visit to this place, and the couple who run it are very friendly and informative.

Really enjoyed working at Barnacre Alpacas recently,a beautiful place surrounded by the finest of Alpacas.....watch out for the 4 Pygmy goats...! they are absolutely charming......this is a lovely place & very much worth visiting......
