It's a nice quiet site in and amongst farmland at Lartington just outside Barnard Castle town centre.
Lovely place friendly people happen a bit far to walk into Barnard Castle but certainly pleasant
Very peaceful setting. A lovely walk through the farm, passing fields with horses, into the town. Lots of lovely shops.
Quiet and peaceful, excellent facilities, very helpful staff enjoyed every minute of our stay. will definitely return there.
Very clean small site. Quiet and in a great location for exurstions to Hadrions Wall, upper teasdale and the pennine way. Large pitches with good space between them
Nice site and friendly staff. Well located for the beautiful North Pennines
Quiet secluded site with good facilities. Pleasant half hour walk along the river into Barnard Castle.
Nicely laid out and friendly staff. Great for a central hub to explore the beautiful natural and historic features the area has to offer.
Super clean and friendly site! Really enjoyed it as it was our first time out with the family and trailer tent. Does have a "nice" smell when the wind kicks in from the farm next door.
Lovely site with excellent facilities, warm friendly staff who look after a well organised and well run/maintained site. Would recommend
Small and relatively quiet other than kids in play area at all hours. Toilets and showers very clean but in need of bringing up to c&cc standards
Nice flat campsite with lots of space between both van and tent pitches. Toilets and showers are the cleanest and most modern of any site I've been on to date. A few points are worth noting before u arrive, it's next to a working farm, so you might get as I did, a pretty bad smell in the air, animals can also be fairly noisy. The site is at quite a high altitude so expect a breeze and a lower temperature. There are nice walks in the surrounding area and the town itself is fantastic with an independent main street. Finally the site offers fish and chips on a Wednesday and Friday
Really good camp-site and great location.
