Right folks....some of you may already know but this will probably come as a shock to others...unfortunatly barnetts has closed permanantly.
The restauarant hasnt failed as i was very lucky to have a fantastic reputaion 😁
I have had wonderful regulars that have supported me for years ..met some really lovely people that i now have the pleasure of calling freinds
... But unfortunatly it just wasnt worth it any more its very hard buisness and life is to short..i will get to spend some time with family and freinds and most important my baby daughter 😍
There is certain customers i will measage Personally but it may take some time 🤣
So folks thank you very much
And here is to having my life back 😁

Went here yesterday we had the Tapas with warm fresh bread with garlic dip and home made chips, Lot of good quality food for your money ,Atmosphere really good ,brilliant staff very attentive , A hidden gem will definately be back.

Went here today. Staff fabulous. I had the much time special 3 course for 8 pounds. Excellent food. Staff very helpful. I am blind felt very comfortable which is brilliant as my drinks and food was discreetly described to me. My husband had the al a carte menu delicious. You could not wish for any more. Will return for the evening menu without the car to try the wines which look exceptional on the wine list. Definitely worth a visit hidden gem restaurant.

We tried this restaurant for the first time last night. We had heard it was good and were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the staff very polite and attentive and we all enjoyed a good meal together. I would recommend this place without hesitation and we will certainly be back.

We had a large family meal, 17 meals all served fresh homemad and very tasty. The belly pork is superb!! The menu all looked fab was hsrd to decide what to order. The bar lady was great kept the drinks following remembered what we all were drinking. Was a great evening with fab food. Will definitely return.

We dined last night. The food was great, if you have not been this place is well worth a visit.

We celebrated a 30th birthday at Barnetts yesterday and it was fabulous.



There was 16 of us and we had our own little private room which was great. We booked for 3pm so ordered from the lunchtime menu which had a choice of things like sandwiches etc but also more substantial mains like pie, fish and chips, carbonara. All of the food came out together, piping hot and everyone said how delicious it all was. I had the mussels in tomato and chorizo sauce and they were huge and beautiful. For main I had the steak and ale pie and the meat inside was divine - melted in your mouth. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were so helpful.



I will definitely be back! Thanks for having us.

Thank you to everyone at Barnett's on Saturday night for making my Mam's 70th birthday meal so special. 19 plates of delicious food served together, quite an achievement! Definitely recommend.

My husband had seen this little Restaurant on the net so while we were in town thought we would give it a visit, we were taken to a table by a young waitress who then asked what if anything we would like to drink, we both settled for a lovely glass of wine. There was lots on the menu to choose from, I had the potato and leek soup and hubby had the potato skins to start which I may add were both lovely. For the main hubby choose sausages and mash and I choose fish and chips the batter was to die for. We also had coffee and a pot of tea and the bill was around £32 which we felt was very reasonable. On a negative note the waitress was on her own and at one point had 15 people in the restaurant waiting to be served, for us that wasn't a problem but think that could easily put people off if they have to wait too long. My hubby had a latte and was given a small spoon think they need to invest in the latte spoons( but that was just a minor thing) on the whole lovely meal would like to try it at night.

Me and my wife came on Friday night for our second visit. By far the best tapas I've ever ate, the food is so fresh and well cooked. If you live in sunderland you have to try this Restraunt, if you don't live in sunderland it's well worth your travel. We couldn't compliment the food more.

I spoke to Andy a couple of days prior to eating at the restaurant and he and his team put together a fabulous meal for me as due to medical reasons there wasn't anything on the menu I could eat. The rest of our party also thoroughly enjoyed their food. I just wish I lived closer to be able to go more often but next time I come up I will be ringing Andy again! Thanks for the great experience on my first visit to Sunderland.

Had an absolutely beautiful evening here with my partner. Food was delicious and we both enjoyed every bite! Service was fantastic and the staff are lovely :) definitely will be coming back, the food coming out of here made our day

Had a lovely meal last night, tried the tapas which I would normally avoid but it was beautiful, the best I've ever had. Staff great too and I will definitely be back x

Had a lovely lunchtime meal here today. Great menu choice and large portion sizes with very tasty food. The same for the children's menu also. The only downside was the service, the waitress was on her own and rushed off her feet which meant not able to provide as good a service as the food. This won't put us off from returning though, great little find :-)

Been here many times foods was always amazing, Mussels in Chorizo and spicy tomato sauce was to die so as the Belly Pork, will be back again very soon, can't wait �

Been here for lunch today with my fiancé and daughter, the food was delicious I had chicken kiev for my main and it was the best I've had and the chips were lovely homemade chips and the price was great value, waitress was really nice and helpful, we will definitely be returning.

Awesome food simple as that

We ate there Tuesday evening had the 10 tapas between us and every dish was superb along with great service

Amazing from start to finish .Friendly attentive staff food just delicious deffo 10/10 scotch egg and chicken parmo delicious .Definitely be back .Highly recommended

Amazing food, been 3 times in the last couple of weeks, fillet steak, chicken, mussels, runny scotch egg and homemade chicken Kiev for lunch today all to die for! Just need to try the Sunday lunch now.

Absolutely fabulous meal. Highly recommend this restaurant. If you haven't been it's time to go there and discover the delicious food fir yourself xx
