Barnsdale Hall Hotel & Country Club

Brilliant. Great helpful staff. Lovely large room. Nice restaurant with lovely food. Nice swimming pool with kids floats and toys sometimes. Crazy golf. Lovely views and great for exploring Rutland.

Reasonably priced, the hotel is situated on beautiful grounds with great views and countryside to explore. Staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fresh, the only downside was the wall was fairly thin so could hear our neighbours. The bathroom had been recently renovated so new and fresh. WiFi was free and easy to access and was good quality. Overall a great place to stay.

I went to the Spa, so do not have the experience of staying over, but the experience I had was amazing. I had two treatments and a day using the facilities and I was treated really well and this made my experience even better. Staff were friendly and accommodating and I had a lovely lady named Mica who was absolutely fantastic.

Staff there seem to be well trained and I would go again.

Lovely location on Rutland Water. Nice walks round the water. Haven't hired a bike but there are several places to do so. We're staying in a 2 bedroom apartment that has been refurbished. Very high quality kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Open plan living area with TV and DVD player. 2 double bedrooms. Unfortunately double bed is hard and uncomfortable. Would have expected a comfortable king size bed! Other bedroom is a double instead of a twin which it was previously. Facilities are excellent at the resort. Plenty to do. Bar and restaurant are expensive. Nearest town Oakham is a lovely place to visit with lots of pubs and restaurants.

Has a lot of very beautiful chalets in beautiful peaceful gardens on a time share basis. Hotel has an extensive spa open to all residents. Beautiful setting by Rutland Water.

Great facilities, beautiful setting and friendly staff. Unfortunately the spa is shut on a Monday though. Fabulous afternoon tea though, beat carrot cake I've ever had!

Very friendly staff who were very happy to oblige to our needs - arriving at 1 in the morning we were late for the breakfast session; the staff ensured we were well fed and rested for the day! Thank you for your friendliness, helpfulness and professionalism!

We were here for a work retreat. Really beautiful surrounding nature, and big, clean room. Food was good, albeit not great. Friendly and helpful staff. Great view from the room.
