Training Plan 4th June Hi all,
Our intrepid members will be back from the Summer Isles this week where it looks as though the diving was stunning! I know there are loads of great pictures from the trip...perhaps the photographers could load some pics on a memory stick and bring them in to share with everyone on our new - https://is.gd/nO8mGb

Our final day in the Summer Isles did not disappoint. The weather held while we completed another dive on the Innisjura, and the aptly named bird s**t wall!

Congratulations Suze Robinson - Open Water Instructor
They say good luck comes in threes! I'm pleased to announce that Suze Robinson has successfully completed her BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club national Practical Instructor Exam (PIE). Combined with her existing Theory Instructor qualification, this now makes Suze a full Open Water Instructor!
Please join me in congratulating Suze – yet another thoroughly deserved instructor qualification. To add a little sugar to the mix, Suz...e has also qualified as a Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA) Instructor - this gives the club a wonderful capability to help and support people scuba diving with disabilities.
I should also mention that Suze has been a virtual recluse during the first part of this year whilst she undertook intensive study for her day job as a medic. Following on with OWI and HSA qualifications demonstrates huge dedication to her sport, and highlights the enormity of her achievements.
Well done Suze!

Please join me in congratulating Ann on very well-deserved recognition of her superb teaching skills. Anyone who has been tutored by Ann will fully agree there's no one more deserving!
... We'll done Ann. I'll stop pestering you now!
Have you thought about PIE... 😊

Congratulations Mark Slater - Open Water Instructor
Please join me in congratulating our latest Instructor, Mark Slater, who has successfully qualified as a BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club Open Water Instructor at a regional assessment over the weekend.
This gives the club another much needed full Instructor to support our beleaguered Training Officer (Ann!) and her vast number of trainees!

Big thanks to club instructor Paul Tarn for managing a challenging buoyancy and trim workshop out at Capernwray today with 10 divers from Barnsley and Dearne Valley.
Due to the interest in this course, it will definitely re-run - watch this space.
