Top quality food at a cheep affordable price , highly recommend

Took our mother here for a belated mother's day lunch. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced for lunch and the menu was varied with very good choices. Definitely return to the Barnsley Oak.

The food is very nice . Great service and a good selection of beers, larger, wines and spirits . Highly recommended.

Popped in for a few drinks.Nice warm friendly atmosphere haven’t tried the food yet but will be going back.

I would just like to say thank you to the bar staff on Saturday, I am currently training for a 26 mile hike in one day in Loch Lomond, in aid of Macmillan cancer support, which means lots of walking and refreshments. I take my dog with me and sometimes one of my boys tag along. The problem I have is i cannot come into the pub to get a drink when I have the dog with me, the bar staff were brilliant and brought them out for me today so thank you. Plus I would look a little odd coming inside in my shorts and walking boots but they need breaking in!!!

Had the chicken tikka sizzler and hot chocolate fudge cake. Out of this world! Please let me marry the chef I'm in love!!! hahahaha.

Had our tea there tonight liver onions and bacon with chips yummy

Had lunch today with my family and the food was beautiful...

Everyone enjoyed their meal and too stuffed for a desert due to plenty of food on plate....

I had the sizziler, was lush!

Great food, very pleasent staff overall a great local pub.....

Ps they do PROPER chips, gorgeous!!!

Food was delicious, Staff were very friendly. Would definitely recommend The Barnsley Oak to anyone who’s wanting a bite to eat. We’ll be returning when we visit SESKU again for sure.

Came for Sunday carvery for the first time since you stopped serving them in the week.very disappointed not a patch on the once we used to have in week. Gravy too thick, the roast potatoes tasted like cheap frozen ones that had been cooked and reheated.and the meat was cold. Was really looking forward to it to be totally disappointed � don’t think we be back any time soon

Went for a Birthday meal. Ordered 3 chicken tikka sizzlers, chilli beef sizzler and 2 kids meals. Menu stated chicken pieces were in the chicken tikka sizzler but the majority of the chicken had been shredded. The meal was also very dry and didnt "sizzle" because it was so dry.

As it was so dry my mother had to leave the majority of the meal.



Meals iv had previously have been good but wont be having that again.

Had a steak, worst ever, dry, overcooked, and tasteless, not the ususl standard I'm afraid

Food below average no taste or flavor in it and had wait nearly an hour for sweet .A bloke came to see a friend I was with who took me there and he was not very polite not even intetduce himself way he came about it he just said been very busy. on my way out this bloke was sat at a table with couple other guys one of them said they leaving now i felt very uneasy on way out so if he was the manager and they that busy why he not helping the staff or is sitting at a table getting drunk with mates is that more important than paying customers .bad management first and last time I be going here.

As it's local to me and fancying a nice steak went with the husband for a treat at lunch time. The chips n salad were lovely but the steak didn't look fresh, it was dry and it was over cooked, not rare/ medium.
