Today we announce a new era for Barrafina. Nieves, our head chef for 10 years and José, our group GM are stepping down at the end of this month. Please join us in sharing the love and gratitude for everything so far. ❤️

We are in excellent company in this list, there are so many amazing restaurants we still need to get to...
Thanks Isaac McHale and Tim Hughs for making us one of their top places to eat in London in 2015
A speedy review from 60secondreviews Dine just how we like things at Barrafina!
Our opening hours over Christmas: we will be closed on 24, 25, 26, 27 and 28 December and back open on 29 December. We will also be closed on 1 January.
What an amazing experience, the staff were fantastic and polite, they just couldn't do enough for you and the food was just out of this world, just a brilliant experience. I will be returning for seconds 😊
What a memorable meal great food having good crack with the staff behind the counter a must return every time we're in the big smoke.
Went in on the cuff and had a great meal and wine. Really good food, ambiance and service. Highly recommend
We were a party of 24 and could not believe how fabulous everything, and I mean everything was.
The staff so friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble.
The food was amazing. Cooked wonderfully, and extremely good sized portions. The venue, we did fine dining in the private room downstairs, was perfect.
I have nothing but praise for this fantastic place!
We never go to London without a visit to our favourite place to eat in England. Beautiful food, lovely friendly Spanish staff and truly authentic and delicious tapas. Barrafina we love you
Oh my goodness...this place is awesome! Was there recently during a trip to LDN - the food was scrumptious and the staff super friendly! Nicholas was very welcoming and knowledgeable! And let's not forget the decor - just lovely! Will definitely come back here whenever in LDN and recommend it to friends.
I was in London for a work conference and didn't fancy the buffet food so used Trip Advisor to sneak out and find a nice place close by with my colleague. It exceeded our expectations and was by far the best decision of the day! Staff and chefs were so friendly and accommodating, the food was fantastic and the wine was so good - we almost didn't go back for the second half of the conference!
I had a great experience experience at Barrafina - I was there with two but Spanish speaking friends a we only had time to stop for tapas and some drinks - the staff were a lot of fun, so friendly and even took a group photo (all of them) with us - the food was just beautiful. I would love to spend more time there the next time to enjoy a larger meal!
High-end tapas in a very lively and friendly atmosphere, with an excellent wine selection by the glass and the bottle. Some rather experimental options here, such as lamb brain, along with tried and true classics such as tuna tartare, fried
octopus and beautiful Iberica ham.
Had to stand and wait about 10 mins for a seat but that went quickly as we were served drinks while we waited. The food was amazing. Not cheap but I did not expect cheap. The choice of sherry was good. I had a great evening and will go back at some time
Everything about my experiences with BarraFina on Adelaide Street has been fantastic. I took my wife here for the first time when she came to visit me on my business trip to London. We came 3 times and had remarkably delicious, contemporary Spanish tapas. Since then, I've gone two more times with just as exceptional food. Whole fish, lamb, pork ribs, traditional tortillas, all manner of seafood fritters... you'll want to go back just so you can taste everything on the menu. Plus they have daily specials, most based on the fresh catches of the day. I can't say enough good things about BarraFina and I'll be going there many more times before my trip is over.
Barrafina is one of those restaurants I'd always wanted to keep a secret but too late. Easy to see why so many have embraced the pure deliciousness of its cooking. Quality ingredients cooked well & simply. Dishes are perfect for sharing so do bring as many people as possible to share. You won't regret it.
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish, was well worth the hour wait to be seated. Top class food and service. We cannot wait to come back again!
A great range of food and their specialities are great - a couple of things that I didn't like but more than enough to fill me - the brilliance of tapas! Great food, great service and great wine!
Went to eat before going to the theatre. We had to wait an hour but stood at the side with a bottle of wine and a few starters. Service was excellent even though they were really busy. An small piece of Spain in the heart of London.
Delicious and our server was wonderful. The only comment I have from a customer services point of view is that they should have told our party of four from the start that it would be "nearly impossible" to seat us together. We had waited an hour for seating (we expected it) when we were finally given this information. Fortunately they were able to accommodate us very nicely, but if there are more than two of you dining you might ask about this.
Very expensive, if they added potatoes or bread it would have been more enjoyable but I think that’s the idea so you order more dishes
Our bill was over £100 and we weren’t drinking alcohol!
God food
But the team ( rude and unprofessional ) I toke the option to have my dessert in other place
Am I missing something?? I am a reasonably well travelled Londoner who has been fortunate enough to experience great food across the Capital and other noticeable places of merit. There is no doubt that Barrafina has a certain ambiance but I feel that this is a perfect example of 'the emperor's clothes'. Of course the food does not come close to the eateries of places like San Sebastián but there are other establishments within our great city where the food is more authentic, better quality and a good deal less expensive. Don't believe the hype.
