Founded in 1969, Barretts of Woodbridge is proud to be in an independent, High St department store. We are something of a landmark in the town, being positioned at the heart of the Thoroughfare with our distinctive and beautiful shop front.

Jill Barrett, daughter of founders Jack and Ann Barrett, is the current owner and we are very much family oriented. Jill's dog Daisy is our official 'Retail Terrier', and apart from her regular tweets at www. twitter.com/BarrettsofWood and blogs at www. barretts. co. uk /blog / she just loves a good cuddle and belly tickle (don't we all. . . ). Our strap line 'good value, great choice, friendly expert service', with particular emphasis on the 'friendly'!

Our famous service is really something to boast about. We believe you should be able to try before you buy with our approval service. This allows customers to take a product home to co-ordinate colour and size before making a final decision. The free access check takes the risk out of buying a new bed or large item of furniture, and our free measuring and estimating service for curtains, blinds, and carpets is important for that perfect fit. All these service elements come with no obligation to buy. We don’t operate commission based selling, and whilst we want your custom, there’s no pressure selling at Barretts.
