Conditions still not great here and temperatures not expected to rise. We will therefore be closed again tomorrow (Sunday) and credits refunded. We will hopefully be business as usual on Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience to those who have attempted the journey tiday.

we have now made the decision to close the yard tomorrow (Saturday) all lesson credits will be refunded. the office will be closed from 12 noon today and will not be manned tomorrow. however you can contact Cheryl via facebook with any queries. we will let you know Saturday evening as to the situation for Sunday.

Would like to just say that both my girls throughly enjoyed the Halloween Ride and Groom session today, I thought it was great value for money. The assistants and instructor (and of course the ponies) were very knowledgeable and kind, one assistant even took extra time showing my daughter her own horse. My two loved their goodie bags and we finished off with a trip to see the rabbits for a cuddle. Thanks again, great riding school

Took my 2 year old for her first Preschool lesson yesterday and she absolutely loved it! No crying just a lot of excitement, the staff really looked after her and of course little Alfie. :)

Thank you so much for fitting my little granddaughter in at short notice. She had a lovely ride and we appreciated your kind, welcoming and helpful staff. She can’t wait to come back for a longer lesson and says she wants to be a Barton End helper when she’s older. Super pony, and we loved the peacocks and donkeys.

Thank you for a wonderful experience today, my excited birthday girl has not stoped talking about Alfie and her wonderful time. We cannot wait to start lessons in 2 weeks.

Thank you Abby for a very enjoyable private lesson on Lanny yesterday. I was feeling very rusty and your lesson boosted my self-confidence. My thighs are killing me today but I will be back!

My girls aged 4&7 had a great time today at Barton End. Everyone at the stables were extremely helpful and friendly. My eldest daughter had a brilliant lesson with Abby - who pitched it perfectly & was really encouraging. My little one had a lovely ride around the fields. Would strongly recommend.

I have so much to say about what a fantastic place Barton End is. The people are lovely and care about each person who comes along. They offer wonderful hacks and brilliant tuition. If you're not feeling confident and want to build on that, then this is a great place to go. Let them know how you're feeling and what your overall aim is and they will do their best to help you over come hurdles and be the best rider you can be. Please be realistic though, they're not miracle workers, so don't turn up expecting to be an amazing jumper after a couple of sessions. It takes time and a lot of practice. The facilities are good and with indoor and outdoor arenas, as well as a jumping field. I love riding here, it's ine of the highlights of my week. It's everything I want from a stables, I enjoy every session and I come away having learnt so much. Thank you to everyone at Barton End for being so kind and caring, I really appreciate all the work you put in and time you spend with me. Special thanks to Abbey for being a fantastic teacher �

Have ridden here for several years (but have recently stopped due to family circumstances). Simply the best hacking in the area, and I've had some great riding lessons too. Thoroughly recommend Barton End for all levels and all ages. They have horses to suit everyone. Staff are always very helpful and encouraging.

Had a wonderful Easter Egg hunt on horseback today with my 2 children age 4 & 8. They ride regularly at Barton End and I am always impressed with the care and friendliness of all the staff. Ponies are lovely too!

Had a fantastic 2 hour hack on Alan with Kevin (leader) on lovely Socks, daughter Maddy on Brandy and 2 others this morning. Great scenery, good local info and chat, and plenty of walk, trot and canter. Thanks so much, Kevin, Amy and horses. We had a ball and will be back. Keep up the good work at a fantastic place xxx

Great riding school! The girls were very patient with someone who hasn't been on a horse for years. The stables are really well kept and all the staff couldn't do enough to help!

First time here today as fancied going for a hack after a few years out of the saddle. Super friendly and helpful staff and beautiful horses. Made to feel safe and welcome. Lovely hack out in the countryside. Definitely will return. Thank you Barton End :-))

First time hacking with my daughter after only two riding lessons. Absolutely loved it. The staff were really helpful and supportive. The countryside is amazing and the horses were really easy going for such novice riders. We will come back

Came here today for a hack with my friend and our daughters. Felt very well looked after, had a great hack and thought the horses & ponies were 5 Star. Would definitely recommend and hope to come back again soon. Thank you Didi, Ben, Allan and Joe!

Brilliant introduction back into the saddle after many years. Abby was extremely helpful and easy to work with. Will be back as soon as I can.

Been a regular for many years and my now adult children learnt to ride with two returning as young adults whenever they can. Great experience yet again today when my youngest daughter having had a loss of confidence regained it within minutes under the nurture of Abbie and her helper Rowan. Thanks to you both - as always a positive experience!

I can't assess whether this place is any good or not as the gift voucher for my daughter's birthday worth £30 which I misplaced and re-found when I tidied up this summer and is now three months out of date will not be honoured. I think it's questionable under these circumstances that a stables would not honour this voucher after all they have received the money . .
