What can I say, mike your a legend for putting up with my bossiness when dealing with the preparation of our wedding... you need a medal mate ! You all delt with the huge amount of people that were rammed in for our special day deposited the weather being not its best it was from beginning to end perfectly organised top job mike Mano and team... ’┐Į’┐Į’┐Į

We just had lunch at this hidden gem in old basing. We came here for the gluten free menu for my coeliac daughter and it did not disappoint. Almost everything off the normal menu had a GF alternative! Well done Bartons Mill!!! The food was absolutely amazing and my daughter was in heaven!!! We will definitely be back very soon!!

We had our wedding reception here.

My wife already knew the staff and the surroundings but this was my first real experience of the whole place.

I have to say it was wonderful, Ray and the staff couldn't of done enough for us and it was lovely.

The food was lovely and I would highly recommend Barton's mill to anybody.

Whether its a pub meal or quick stop off you are after with its beautiful surroundings with the ducks and lake etc or booking a wedding reception like we did.

5 star service, thanks guys we had a perfect evening.

We had our wedding reception at BartonŌĆÖs Mill - the food, as always, was fantastic, and the staff on the day were incredible ŌĆō never an empty glass!!



Special shout out to Mike who was brilliant both on the day and in the build-up ŌĆō he helped us organise the day and nothing was too much trouble. Look forward to our 1-year anniversary meal ŌĆō might even treat ourselves to a night in your new accommodation.



If you are looking for a venue for your wedding reception - we would 100% recommend BartonŌĆÖs Mill.

We dined yesterday & were a little disappointed that we weren't told we were in the bar not the restaurant due to a private function but the manager & staff sorted out our table earlier than booked for us & were very attentive. We were very happy with the gluten free menu as we had 2 coeliacs in our party. We ordered ice cream without mentioning, thinking this would naturally be gluten free and when the manager brought it out, he realised himself that it had shortbread on, remembered the person was gluten free & immediately told us he'd go & get another which was served very quickly.

They also allowed us to bring birthday cake & to serve it at the table

We were very impressed & will book again.

Visited yesterday for lunch by the river, great food lovely setting. Attentive staff.

Very nice food all round on our table of 4 & the Gluten free fish & chips was excellent! Although very busy & long queues at the bar it was big improvement from last time we visited.

Superb Sunday dining treat , food was excellent , waiting staff were very helpful, cheerful , knowledge of the food/menu was fab. Definitely a must do dining experience.

On Sat 26 May 18, we held our wedding renewal at Barton's Mill and oh what a time we had. Totally awesome venue, amazing food and staff that could not have been more helpful, especially Mike & Mano, nothing was too much trouble and even the littlest things were taken care off, thank you. The hog roast & BBQ was to die for and apparently amazing cracklings, as promised you did not run out of apple sauce! Our guests were well looked after and everything was as we asked. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner two days in a row. We came back because it was casual and there was a nice atmosphere. The staff was very nice and food was good.

Love that animals are welcome.

Lovely setting, beautiful place, lovely food and good friendly service!! CanŌĆÖt fault the place, defo recommend it!!

I'm Coeliac and visited for lunch today from their Gluten Free menu (I noticed that they can do smaller portions for kids too) & to enjoy a couple of bottles of Gluten Free 6X. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! Excellent service, friendly welcome from clued up staff, great food served in generous portions, nice relaxing setting. I'm glad I went & will return!!

Great pub great food and friendly staff, we placed our order and had our food within half an hour and they were very busy. The pub is tucked away down a lane with a pond would recommend this place and will be changing from my local the Hatch who couldnŌĆÖt even manage to muster a sandwich in an hour on a hot day and very little staff run off the feet.

Fabulous food in a gorgeous location. Have loved BartonŌĆÖs Mill for over thirty years!

Fabulous experience, the staff are so pleasant but not intrusive, the atmosphere is excellent and the food is spot on. Good to see a more exciting range of soft drinks.

Disco Steve is in the house. Check out the new partytime central at the Marquee.

Forget the top of town, everything under one roof.

As soon as the sun comes out get here early to grab a table. Great family pub!
