This Valentine’s week, on Wednesday 13th of February, Chelsea’s most notorious speakeasy - famed for its lawless liquor and raucous parties - is becoming famous for something a little more sinister… the scene of a terrible crime.
Could this be a crime of passion? A lover’s tiff gone wrong? After all... is anything more deadly than falling in love? This Valentine’s week, we’re calling upon those of you with a keen eye and a sharp mind. If you consider yourself the no-nonsense... type, with a penchant for spotting loose-lipped liars then we need your help!
Firstly, rip your way through the police tape and enter the apartment to find a room of suspects, each with their own potential, spine-chilling motive. You’ll be encouraged to take in all the evidence, get to know the scene, but most of all - get to know the suspects. Do you have what it takes to separate the truth from the lies? Can you detect the subtleties of body language, alibi inconsistencies, or just possess that good ol’ gut feeling? Scribble down clues as you gather them, eventually forming what you believe to be the truth behind the Murder on the Barts Floor.
Afterwards, cool your nerves with a toast to the deceased and a complimentary cocktail from Barts’ Murderous menu. Then, sit back and enjoy as the venue transforms into what it’s best known for - a sizzling speakeasy.

Overtime I am in London I just can't escape not going to Barts...yes it's very small but it's very cause and friendly....the bartenders are very talented and every time I visit they just make me a special different drink! I always have funny moments there! I would rate this place as 5 and can't wait to be back again...

User

Love this place...the best cocktails Ive ever had! A great place for everyone, couples and groups of friends, I popped in on my own as staying over for a quick business trip and was made to feel very welcome....I could hear everyone around me was talking about the amazing cocktails... this sets them apart from many other bars! Highly Recommend.

User

Initially tried to book Mr Foggs but no availability, however the hostess at Foggs suggested Bart's & I decided to go for it. Was initially a bit nerverous about the £30 minimum spend per person but turns out that's pretty much what we did. We had to book as a large party of 9, but this meant reserved table & had table service which was excellent as the bar was quite busy, the host & hostess checked in on us often enough & even convinced us to do a sharing cocktail...not difficult under the circumstances! There was a dressing up box that we took advantage of & the place was busy enough to have a great atmosphere but not so busy that it was rammed! We especially liked the entry requirements but I can't tell you about that cos it's a secret & we don't want the fuzz getting in!!

User

In love with this place! The cocktails are just legendary, the music, people and atmosphere just what I like and expect from London in its best ways. Will soon convert to a regular)

User

I was lucky enough to go to the inaugural “Bird watching” convention now on Saturday afternoons. I can’t say too much as I’ve gotta keep it on the DL, but step into 1920’s Chicago, join Uncle Bart’s gangsters and enjoy their contraband chow and taste some of the best “tea” in town. The guys will make sure you’re well fed and watered and keep you entertained with an amazing singer... just make sure you’ve got your story straight for when the fuzz pay a visit!

Fantastic afternoon and can’t wait to head back there again!

Definitely one to check out!

User

I had a wonderful Saturday night. The place is very well designed and the drinks are amazing. The place to be in London!

User

Had the best day at barts yesterday - we were booked onto a cocktail masterclass for my friends 30th and had so much fun!! Massive thank you to the staff that made it so fun. We will be back

User

Great place if you can get it :) drinks are super good and staff is welcoming! Definetly place to go!

User

Great bar.... if you can find it.

The comic book menu is well worth a read as well.

one of the best cocktails I have ever had!

User

Definitely my favourite place in London!! Lucky to live close to it, can't miss every Saturday night in Barts!! Good vibes, excellent staff and the best cocktails ever!! Attention to every detail!! Thanks Uncle Barts!!

User

Criminali-tea launch was really well done, we had a great time, a few mishaps along the way and a few mix ups but considering it was the first one- really well done, the staff were amazing and really made us feel welcome.

The drinks were really well done, 10/10, I’d give the food 8/10 I think more could be done to improve the offering, I think if uncle Bart put as much effort into the food as he does into the team and the drinks and the decor it would be one of the best places in London to visit. Overall worth a visit and you’ll leave with great memories.

User

Best... relaxed friendly fun

User

I can't tell you more than : you have to find this place and taste their cocktails. Warm welcoming, nice people, music and an excellent menu cocktails/whisky/gin/rum/etc...! :-) See you soon Barts !

User

Great NYE night, good cocktails and good quality branded drinks. Well worth the entrance price, which included champagne reception, unlimited drinks and bacon sandwich at midnight ( The bacon sandwich was a pathetic inch square and was not worth serving it!) Table service was good, but two members of staff for all the tables was too much work, which resulted in half hour wait for drinks at times so we ended up going to bar ourselves mostly.

User

Great venue, loved the quirky bar and outside area, staff really friendly. Went with 2 friends for criminali tea unfortunately the food let it down. Cocktail was nice we had a choice from a list of 4 cocktails 2 vodka based 2 gin based not sure why such a limited choice, served in a tea pot but was disappointed that tea pot was only half full! (Managed to top up my very small tea cup once) Menu said sandwiches and bagels, didn’t get any bagels and sandwiches were ok but not aesthetically pleasing (one finger sandwich, one triangle, 3 mini rolls(1white, 1brown 1seeded) one brioche roll cut into 3 ) was looking forward to the cakes and ice cream sundae they were however very disappointing a tiny square of brownie with a blob of ice cream on top in a miniature tea cup, a hot cross bun with 2 slices tinned peaches and bit of cream inside?? And a mini blueberry muffin from Sainsbury’s/Tesco. No plates and no napkins? Food unfortunately spoilt the experience.

Very small and intimate venue. The staff were friendly and there was a dressing up box. Also a singer who was very good she did two sessions, for me personally one would have been enough as I had gone with friends for a catch up and would have been rude to carry on chatting whilst she was singing as there was only about 16 people there in total. Had a lovely time but for £35pp wouldn’t recommend it due to the food. We ended up going out for a meal after, which slightly defeated the object of the afternoon. And on website they say be prepared to be raided by the fuzz. This didn’t happen when We asked why, we was told it’s a bit hit & miss when it happens. So 8/10 for venue and staff 2/10 for food & drink

User

Came to the criminali tea for mine and my wife’s birthdays with a few friends and was a little disappointed, The venue and bar was quite cool and quirky the entertainment was fantastic but that was about it, we were looking forward to all dressing up in the theme but were disappointed at the lack off hats and boa’s etc would have thought you would have had enough for everyone, in the end settled for Mexican themes etc ( not quite 1920’s ). As said the singer was amazing but the modern choice off music in between (not quite 1920’s) was a let down and then the food well we had to wait ages after seeing everyone else get their food we noticed they were finishing theirs and then ours being placed on the plates on return ( buy some more plates to serve them on ) and the quality of the food was not great measly looking sandwiches followed by shop bought mini muffins and a bit off ice cream on shop bought brownies with bits off tinned fruit in shop bought hot cross buns a real let down won’t be returning. Very expensive for what it was even after we took the optional service charge off.

User

We went for the Criminali afternoon tea, the hostess was lovely & chatted to everyone & was a great singer but there wasn't an 'Criminali' entertainment going on like the video. The food was shocking, there was 6 of us we got the food in dribs & drabs because there wasn't enough afternoon tea plates, the sandwiches was small & dried. The muffin was cheap, no Twinkie we had a filled hot cross bun & small ice cream/cream had melted by the time they bought out enough for everyone. There wasn't enough food for 6 people & what was there was very cheap & clearly from the supermarket. Also, there wasn't enough dress up for everyone. A unicorn onesie, Union Jack hats & Mexican theme do not match the bar & the theme.

Very very disappointed, booked this for my 40th bday & will not return or recommend to anyone.

For the money you charge, you could easily make this an amazing place just like many other 'secret London bars'.

User

The atmosphere was very flat. We expected a more fun element in dressing up and lots of participation. Having been to cahoots and Mr Foggs gin palace we were disappointed with the whole ambience hence only had one drink and left.
