Ever fancied learning how to knit? Or can you already knit and want some company or cake? 🍰
... If you are an experienced knitter and wish to join us, bring any wool, patterns and needles you have! If you have never knitted before just turn up and we will supply you with the basics!
We do lots of charity knitting including neonatal, British legion poppy appeal, Macmillan, Bloodwise and other charities close to our hearts!
This is open to everyone, all abilities, ages and there will be experienced knitters helping out! Maybe you just fancy a cup of tea and cake - come along for the natter! 🧶

Went with my friends for afternoon tea to Basilia. It was my first time eating here and it didn’t disappoint! The staff were so attentive and the sandwiches and cakes were amazing! I will definitely be back for another ‘billionnaires slice’!!

We had afternoon tea here today and absolutely loved it! I’m still full now! There was a great selection of freshly made cakes and they were all generous slices! Really recommend this place and will be back for more...!

This place oh wow! They went above and beyond for me and my family. My wife's nan is in a bad way, so at any point this mothers day I was aware that my wife and her mum may need to go. I wanted to do an afternoon tea for my mum, wife and mother in law. But the risk of having to cancel was to big. To cut a long story short they made up the afternoon tea, so I could set it up at my own house. Even provided the lovely dishes and plate tower. My mum is also celiac, therefore she can only have gluten free. They really went all out to cater for her. My mum has always enjoyed afternoon tea but since finding out she was celiac. She struggles to find anywhere that caters for her. Not only did they cater but the options where incredible. The food was top notch as always, but the customer care is what separates this business from the rest. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone at Basilia for the amazing afternoon tea catering for my Granny’s 80th birthday. The food was perfect and the delivery was so convenient- everything came on cake stands ready to eat and there was so much to go around 20 people! Will definitely be coming to Basilia for parties in the future! ���

Thank you Basilia staff for making the end of my birthday week just lovely. The afternoon tea was fabulous! You even made me purple macaroons...with lavender flavouring and those strawberries with thick dark choc were delish!!!!

Only gripe is that you don’t take card payments which caught us out yesterday on our visit, really expect businesses to all accept card payments to help their customers out. I do and my business is much smaller than yours.

Ordered a buffet for 9 people and when collected they had done a buffet for 10 people ( at no extra cost) � brilliant !! and I have to say the food was beautiful, fantastic pork pie too and lots of it !! Thank you basilia � we will deffo be having you again x merry Christmas to you all and thank you very much x

I’ve just popped down again to grab some lunch for the company I work for (GEM Vending) and as normal it was delicious...after all these years I’ve just realised I’ve never left a review so...



Basilia is an amazing deli, with a very helpful and attentive team. Whether it’s personally popping in for lunch or a coffee and cake or putting something together for a corporate lunch, nothing is ever too much trouble and they always go the extra mile!!

So many of my friends have still never been though so if you haven’t yet tried it... go!

You will not be disappointed and will be hooked... I promise you

I work just around the corner from Basilia & it has been the go to deli/restaurant/tea shop. Well priced, very good quality ingredients and good portion sizes.



Coupled with the fact it's always busy and the staff are fantastic and very friendly I don't think you can go wrong!

I love this place! Food is always freshly made and yummy! This time I chose the ploughman’s, it was delicious. The ham and pork pie was tasty and the cheeses were fabulous, I had Red Leicester, Brie and Cheshire served with rye bread and selection of hand made crackers. Will definitely be returning.

Having passed this hidden gem on several occasions I managed to grab a parking spot and...in much need of the loo and in my endeavour to support local businesses on my travels with work (as opposed to the likes of Maccy D’s which is close by)...I paid a visit

But I bagged the sofa table

Not the most comfortable I grant you but the food and service most certainly compensated

I ordered a “Special”...a Sizzling Salad with bacon, black pudding and a drizzle of Stilton sauce (with a little pot of extra served on the side)

And a fresh orange juice

In truth...it was one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten

Granted...a hunk of fresh crusty bread with proper butter and a few extra cherry tomatoes would have elevated it for me...but only a little

IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!

I took away a few deli bits including a jar of Gooseberry Jam, a bottle of Roasted Garlic and Balsamic salad dressing, a piece of Cornflake Tart (OMG) and a Bakewell Tart (well received by the recipients)

The service was faultless

The staff...both waitresses and on the deli counter...were lovely

Sociable, interactive and friendly yet not in any way intrusive

I want to recommend this wonderful place but I also want to get a table next time I’m in the area!!!

What a dilemma!!!

Great food in the café and friendly staff. Garden at the back a great spot (handy bike lock points out of sight of main road too). Deli shop looks interesting but not bought anything this time. Maybe next time!

Fabulous first time visit as a Mothers Day Treat late but had to get the three of us together on same day.

The Afternoon to was scrumptious and I will be back for my Birthday in June.

Basilia catered for our 70 strong party with a wonderful afternoon tea! I can’t recommend them highly enough! If you are looking for something extra-special with a sense of style and scrumptious food then please look no further .... they are truly amazing! Professional throughout and the waitresses were delightful too! Looking forward to my next visit already.

Me and my husband went for breakfast this morning I can honestly say the staff were lovely, polite and very hospitable nothing was too much trouble for them, we also bought some cakes and burritos to take away and they was delicious will definitely be returning and would recommend to anyone
