Basingstoke Sea Cadets Description

Sea Cadets offers you countless exciting adventurous opportunities both ashore and on the water. These include the chance to learn sailing, power boating, canoeing, rowing and windsurfing, plus diving. Our adventure training is also very popular: hill walking, navigation and endurance skills. Learn about camp craft; how to pitch a tent and cook outdoors. Some expeditions offer rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking and kayaking. All our acitvities are led by well qualified instructors.

Just a few things to get through tonight. Really looking forward to celebrating the efforts of the cadets this year. There may be one or two adults in for some recognition too.

Dont forget that Friday will be our Annual awards and presentation evening. The Mayor will be attending and of course we encourage all parents and supporters to attend. The presentations will start at the begining of the evening and refreshments will be served after.
If cadets could arrive nice and early in their No1's it will help us to make sure that we can get underway for 1930.
It promises to be a great evening, we have loads to get through, including enrolments, promot...ions, qualifications and annual awards.

... Please make sure that all forms and sponsorship money are returned to us by Mon 9th Dec. We can then announce the totals at the presentation evening on Dec 13th.

For All Cadets & Staff
Remember tomorrow night is our sponsored swim and we wont be parading at the unit.
We will meet at QMC Swimming Pool from 1930 to be ready for 2000 swimming.
... All cadets swimming arrive in sports kit with your swimming kit in a bag to change into as normal.
All cadets not swimming and staff to wear usual parade night uniform with soft shoes.
Can all cadets bring their sponsorship forms so that we can total up the expected sponsorship totals.
Mums, Dads, carers and supporters are welcome to stay and support, if not please collect from 2115 at QMC.
