BASIS PROMPT is an independent industry led register of qualified pest controllers in the UK. Being a member of BASIS PROMPT provides independent proof that a pest controller has received the appropriate professional training and has continued to update their expertise through Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Pests can endanger our health, contaminate our food, damage property and have a negative impact on the wider environment. However, their essential control must be carried out in a responsible way by professional pest controllers who are properly trained and competent, such as those on the BASIS PROMPT Register. Support for the BASIS PROMPT Scheme has come from: he Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS), the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), the British Pest Control Association (BPCA), the National Pest Technicians Association (NPTA), the UK Pest Controllers Organisation (UKPCO) and the Sector Skills Council.
