First friendly of the season saw Burnley Steam take on Preston Pride Community Basketball Club. Following a terrible first quarter which finished 23-4 to Preston, Burnley fought hard for the remaining 3 quarters but were unable to overcome the deficit with the final score being Preston Pride 76 Burnley Steam 58. We would like to thank everyone at Preston Pride Community Basketball Club for having us and Jack Tucker for filming the game.

The 2018/19 season was full of highs and lows for Burnley Steam, from getting blown out by the Raptors to a last second victory against Time Team (undefeated at that point). The season also saw us deal with a large amount of injuries including loosing @Tony Danson for the season, but it wasn't all doom and gloom 2 players welcomed daughters in to the world. Overall it's been a tough season and a steep learning curve. We would like to thank all the teams we've played against and the Hyndburn & District Basketball League and can't wait to do it all again in the 2019/20 season.
