This is the best shish town ever, i went their with 10 people great service, food is absolutely amazing, my friends told me to come here and it was the best idea ever, i suggest you go. don't listen to what they say also the waiters are great amazing people and very nice. I always come here and they treat you like you are VIP.
Mortified. Horrified. Flabbergasted. A few words to describe my experience at Basrah Lounge, literally shaking as I rustle up the courage to write this review. Asked simple questions and was given ambiguous, blunt and rude answers. Froze my bollocks off for a bit shisha that tasted like tarmac and paid and arm and leg for some mint tea that was made with some btec Tesco value tea bags boiled in sewer water. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!
Terrible experience! The waiters are very intimidating and not respectful, forced to pay a service charge which personally I think the waiters did not deserve, they need to fix their attitude and learn how to respect the general public. Shisha did not taste very nice, was very harsh and coaley.
Aesthetics are pleasant. although is really cold in winter months. Shisha is abit smelly (had to hold my breath inbetween puffs) forced us to pay service even though service was lacking. So if your thinking of coming here then i think you should delay it kinda of like there coal renewals...
A bit expensive but reasonable for london but overall very good,
Except to spend:
2 persons 40-50 (sheesha snack drink)
Plus 10-15 per extra person
Excellent setup.
Excellent service.
Good quality.
Took way too long. Others were clearly getting priority service.
Such rude staff and awful service.. and why would u make a customer pay before even providing the service ? Food is standard nothing special on the menu nor tasty.. overrated place
Where is the council from those places that charge minimum fee per person and force people to share one shisha between two. it is very annoying, the owner, you got the permission from the council to serve people food and shisha, not to suck their money.
By the Law there is not such a shisha policy to have one shisha between 2 or spend minimum charge of 10 or 15 pounds.
Do not recommend this place
Do not waste your money
Report any over payment to the council
Those places should stop sucking people's blood or to shut down as soon as possible.
Went with a group of black friends and we were sat completely separately from the rest of the guests and terrible service. They insulted us in Arabic, not knowing we could speak Arabic. Flash Arab smoke and mirrors with no underlying substance or class. Avoid at all costs.
The place is nice and big enough for a big group. They just have this annoying "rule" of a minimum of one shisha per two people!
Good vibe, the shisha is decent- when there's enough hot coal on it, the hot milk drink with cinnamon and pistachios tasted phenomenal. However, the seating is a bit tightly packed, the staff with coal need to be more attentive and it's generally a bit over priced aswell.
Nice service. Shame about the policies in this place. Overall bad experience.
Good shisha. Use real coals. Bit pricey in here compared to other places. Two people with two drinks and 2 shisha was 51 pounds. One of the more expensive places. Coal burns out quickly so regular changes required. In a more accessible location I'd may be given it 4 stars. It would need to be a little cheaper too.
Absolutely horrible. whilst the atmosphere is good, the customer service was absolutely rubbish. Our group of 8 people hated the experience. I ordered a waffle (which costed £8.25) and they served me it without cutlery! I then asked for cutlery (even my friends tried) but they took so long with it that the waffle had gone cold and ice cream melted! i then asked for a new waffle. they took 35 mins with that! the staff are not organised at all and the customer service was utterly terrible. i then asked for a refund and i was given my money back with such aggression! As for our meals - our waitor would slam the food on the table rather than calmly serve the person their food directly (by at least putting it infront of them) - he then yelled at my sister "this is not allowed" when her foot was simply CLOSE to the table, not even touching it! absolutely horrid. Given that they had SO much staff (about 25 people) it was so shocking that they couldn't manage anything!
