Michael & Francesca said their "I do's" in our Rickety Barn on Sunday 5th August surrounded by their lovely family and friends. Fran & Michael's attention to detail was incredible, both of them working tirelessly to produce their wedding decor. Francesca looked beautiful as she walked up the aisle on the arm of her father, music played by the wonderful Cara Beard Music, to meet her very dapper groom. Saturday 4th August......a glorious day for this truly fabulous couple. Clare & Craig's wedding was full of fun and personality that reflected them. In a twist on a Sunday roast guests were treated to an interactive main course of roast fore rib of beef. Much fun and laughter was had as nominated carvers served their respective tables. From the 1940's vintage coach that bought their guests to Bassmead, to the beautiful Apothecary Cabinet used for their table plan (supplied by Olive Events), personalised cocktail recipe favours for each guest, to the Mojioto, Gin, & Hard Lemonade Bars this was a perfect day. Clare & Craig rocked Bassmead with an awesome first dance to ACDCs "You shook me all night long" performed by Shine On. Amanda & Team Bassmead wish you both a wonderfully happy and rocking life together

Huge congratulations to Louise & Stuart who got married last Thursday in front of their family and friends at Bassmead. We had beautiful sunshine and both bride and groom looked stunning. They put their special touches into the decorations which we absolutely loved.

“Tell everybody I'm on my way” was just the beginning of Martha & Isaac’s big day. The First August wedding of 2018 brought us Mr & Mrs Wilson who had a train themed day. Vintage luggage case’s and personal train station’s as table names, they even had guests’ tickets clipped as they took their seats in the dinning barn. Sunny July was brought to a close with the marriage of fun loving Hannah & Kieran. Hannah wowed as she graced down the aisle to become Mrs Thorold. This classic wedding with flashes of pastels, had a subtle touch of Kieran’s almighty ‘POSH’ blue. The evening was one of a kind! Mr & Mrs Thorold opted for a ‘chill out vibe’, whilst guests were serenaded by Cara Beard and snapped by Megan Wilson underneath the candlelight. Huge congratulations to Mr & Mrs Charlton who got married at Bassmead Manor Barns last Saturday. They said their vows in front of their friends and family in our beautiful Rickety Barn. It was such a beautiful day and we loved the table plan which had been lovingly grown by Hannah's parents over the last few months and it turned out so amazing. The lavender favours added that extra special touch to their day. Hayley & Leigh were married at Bassmead on Friday 27th July on their daughter Anna-Leigh's birthday. Flowers in soft shades of pink & blue, lace table cloths, an abundance of bunting, lanterns, ice-cream & Winnie the Caravan ensured a wonderful vintage vibe. On what had been an emotional journey this was a day for love, reflection, strength of courage and family & friends. Congratulations to Mrs and Mrs Parr who tied the knot in front of their loved ones ( including their furry friends ) on the 18th July. They had a lovely intimate ceremony and were even chaperoned down the aisle by their fur babies Nelly and Bella...not sure Nelly was impressed with her wedding attire but we all thought she looked fabulous! Last Wednesday Stephanie and Luke became #Theupcotts, the day was filled with so much emotion, Stephanie was proudly walked down the aisle by her grandad. Rachel & James were married at Bassmead on Sunday 22nd August. A lovely day surrounded by family and friends this gorgeous couple created the wedding of their dreams. A stylish and simple approach to decor ensured Bassmead was elegantly dressed with silver candelabras and flowers in a dazzling shade of blue. Musical accompaniment for the day was courtesy of Chris Warner, The Cambridge Pianist on his baby grand piano and the evening entertainment kicked off with Strobe Disco Roadshow ensuring the dance floor rocked. Abbie & Josh became Mr & Mrs Rook in our Rickety Barn on Saturday 21st July. Emotion caught up with a radiant Abbie as she took her first glimpse of a beaming Josh, waiting for her to begin her walk up the aisle to become his wife. On another gloriously hot day summers day at Bassmead Manor Barns, Amy & Charlie, surrounded by family & friends said their I do’s. Shades of purple filled the venue from bridesmaid’s dresses, cravats & flowers to home-made bunting. Food was a very important part of the day for Amy & Charlie & the Galloping Gourmet chefs lived up their promise of excellent food. Congratulations to Charlotte & Chris who got married at Bassmead last Thursday. We loved the floral centrepieces, beautiful ladders, stunning mirror designs and the photo backdrop they created themselves. During the ceremony and drinks receptions guests were treated to some wonderful music by Cara Beard Music and Strobe Disco Roadshow took them all the way to the end of the night with his DJ set, we even had a special appearance from his gorgeous rustic love letters! On Tuesday 17th July Katie, looking absolutely stunning in a gorgeous blush coloured wedding dress, accompanied by her father left Bassmead in a beautiful Bentley to marry her handsome groom Michael at All Saint's Church, Riseley. Surrounded by their family and friends the couple returned to Bassmead for an Italian influenced wedding reception. A simply perfect day with family at the heart of everything ensured this was a very special wedding. We got married here on the 27th April 2018 it was a fantastic day! Verity and the team have been so helpful and organised throughout the whole journey. We got married at Bassmead on the 5th July. From start to finish everything was seamless. Jo our events manager was constantly answering emails from me and on the day itself nothing was too much trouble.

Our wedding was an absolute dream we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Everyone from waiting staff to gardeners were so lovely.

We’ve had some amazing comments from family and friends on how fabulous our day was and the empty plates from the guests said it all about the scrumptious food!

We got married at Bassmead on the 25th of November 2017, the whole day ran so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff, nothing was to much trouble for them, especially Charlotte who organised everything for us, your enthusiasm and excitement really made our day. Our 2 year old boy loved staying in “Charlottes house” (the cottage) he’s been walking around singing “Batman Charlotte Superman” since he met her :-)

Our guests loved the place, and the food, it really is an amazing venue full of amazing people. The only problem was the day was over too quick.

Stuart and I were married 10th March this year. Hayley and the team were absolutely amazing. The venue for us was perfect, food and drink perfect and our day was beautiful. From the word go everyone made sure the day ran smoothly, it was sad that the day went so quickly. We would happily recommend this venue as it is truly special.

Thank you is sometimes not enough to say but we would have to say A massive thank you Hayley and all for making our first day as a married couple perfect. It set us up so well for our honeymoon adventure that started the next day.

One of the highest blessings in being considered by many to be amongst the best Caribbean musical entertainers in the UK, is the opportunity to be invited to perform at the mot amazing wedding venues around the country. I can honestly say that Bassmead Mead Manor sits within that category. On the 19th of April I got to marry the love of my life at this beautiful venue. I cannot express how amazing the staff were, through our whole process up to the big day. Amanda was exceptional, and the staff on the day catered to our every need. They went above and beyond and made us feel so special. The venue was spectacular, clean, tidy, everything ran so smoothly, the food was immense and so were the drinks. I just wanted to say thank you for making our day nothing short of perfect!! Myself and Adrian got married here last Friday(16th) and had the best day ever.

There is nothing I can say about Bassmead Manor Barns other than ‘out of this world’.

From the moment we looked around the venue until the moment we left as husband and wife- the staff were amazing.

Both Charlotte and Jo helped us so much, and were there for us every step of the way- couldn’t have asked for better wedding coordinators.

I’m so sad it has been and gone, as I would love to have that day over and over again.

My daughter had her wedding here on the 8th April. Perfect venue, perfect day and amazing hard working staff. Can't thank you enough for an amazing day, night and breakfast for all the family in the morning. If you are thinking of having your wedding here then do it! U will not be disappointed! My daughter got married yesterday at Bassmead. Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful setting. Such stunning grounds. Everything was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful from beginning to end. Could not fault anything. The food was the best I had had in a long time. The scotch egg starter was divine!! Thank you to everyone for making my daughters day so special.

Amazing venue! I’m a wedding Magician and perform here often. It’s become one of my favourite venues. Everything here is perfect and it is run be an incredible and very efficient team! Shame I can only give it 5 stars � highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning venue! As a photographer I see many weddings at different venues and Bassmead Manor is one of the best I've seen. The whole day went smoothly and the attention to detail is superb. There was so much on offer. The bridal suite, the barn for the ceremony, the beautiful conversion for the reception. It simply has it all. Looking forward to returning very soon to photograph another wedding.

Lovely place unfortunately millions of very small black flies everywhere, may just be time of year. The DJ that was used for the evening was absolutely rubbish and stormed off very early after being asked a couple of times to play different music that was on his play list ( we wanted some music that gets people up) like come on Eileen, ABBA that sort of thing. So unfortunately night was ruined.

We had our wedding day a few weeks ago and quite frankly, we wouldn’t recommend this venue. It is without doubt a stunning place and if you prefer style over substance then this will be the place for you. We arrived when prospective clients were being shown around ... on our special day! We chose the casual dining package and very casual was certainly what we were served! To say it was akin to school dinners is an under statement - the food was bland, cold and 3 small pieces of food on a plate was not as described and shown in their brochure. There were other issues throughout the day which caused quite a lot of upset and when we complained the management attempted to ridicule our grammar rather than address the situation. To summarise, there are far better places out there so please do your homework.

Style over Substance is the best way to describe here. Your first impression is nice, but underneath the experience I saw as a guest wasn't great and I really felt for the wedding couple.



I would bring up two main points that need serious addressing here.



1. Music - the speaker system is very poor for such a venue. The bride walked into crackly music that kept jumping and killed the moment for her and for all, also during the service the couple had obviously prepared some further tracks, yet the feedback was so loud they had to turn it off. this was such a poor start and everyone felt flat for all involved, the walk down the isle clearly hurt the brides feelings



2. Food - I know everyone is different regarding food, however the food was poor. I felt like I was queuing in a school canteen for our buffet food to start with. However the main issue here was the portions and the quality of the food, the plate was probably one quarter full with 4 very very small portions and everyone on out table was looking at each other, back to their plate and then back to each other.... we all felt like Oliver looking for more. The taste was also very bland and unappetizing. The couple we embarrassed about what people had been served and finished up going around to table apologizing to us guests rather than complimenting and enjoying their experience.



I would advise anyone looking at this venue for their dream day to look past the pictures and the initial 'this looks nice' and to dig dig and dig some more into exactly what you are paying for so your guests don't receive the same experience as we did at the wedding we attended. I'm sure this place isn't charging 1 star rates, but in my opinion isn't offering the 5 star service it is looking to achieve
