Thank you for such a fun day X
As a Pink Floyd fan, it was a thrill to be there and see that it has not really changed much since Animals. I hope they keep it in a very similar way after the works they are doing over there.
An iconic building which first appeared on my radar all the way over in America via Pink Floyd's Animals album cover. I'm so in love with this building. And I'm so happy that it's being restored. I can't imagine the London skyline without her chimneys. Can't wait till it's done!
Amazing what there doing at Battersea Power Station & surrounding area, when completed it's going to be amazing οΏ½
Amazing place to go!!! So many different things to do, free activities and very nice restaurants by the river οΏ½ and the Battersea Power Station... it's a must go for Londoners and all the tourists οΏ½
@puppetswithguts #monstersoup paraded past a few weeks back- absolutely wonderful event... be great to see this happen every year!
Very nice place, it seems that there will be a trendy spot. Good combination of office space and entertainment, the location is very good, but there are still many restaurants to open.
Really good food. Views were incredible but gift shop was lacking. Please download the audiobook before you go.
Just went there because of the Pink Floyd iconic Animals. Coudn't enjoy very much because of the constructions around it.
It's exciting to see the potential with some nice bars and restaurants to divert, but (obviously) very much a work in progress. I was disappointed that the river path was closed despite having read that it now had limited daytime opening. The site could also do with better signage to make it clear there's only one way in and out rather than pointlessly walking down dead ends!
Had a lovely lunch at Mother - their brunch menu is super and we thoroughly enjoyed. Other than that there isn't much there - as someone else mentioned it seems to be a work in progress. Once more opens up it will no doubt be a bustling riverside venue.
I love this Art Deco building. It's beautiful. But today I visited the public consultation and got disappointed by the redevelopment plan. It's all about commercial stuff (shops, offices and residential flats). You should use some of the space for more useful and ethical projects. I was upset especially by the plan for those surrounding expensive flats. Most of people wouldn't be able to afford and they will block most of the beautiful building from view.
Big event that wasn't.. week before Easter. Obviously there was nothing to see and very little to do .. and it will improve.
Once again summer time and AC is not working. Battersea power station is very consistent with that!
Grade in listed. That means, we're stuck with it and can't demolish it.
If you're going to demolish it, then leave it. Rebuilding it, is not preserving it. If the eye saw has to remain, reintroduce the functionality, by adding windmill generators to each chimney.
