A cold & windy morning didn’t stop these guys coming along to Battlefield Falconry Centre to complete their bird of prey experience today. 🦉Well done everyone.

The weather didn’t stop today’s bird of prey experience group from having a great time here at Battlefield Falconry Centre.

There was definitely a glimpse of spring in the air for these lovely people from yesterday’s bird of prey experience group here at Battlefield Falconry Centre.

It was a little chilly today however these brave people put on their outdoor togs and joined us here at Battlefield Falconry Centre for a bird of prey experience.

It was a bit chilly for this mornings bird of prey experience group - certainly blew the cob webs away though!

Wow what a great birthday treat for us... fantastic experience. An hour in the woods and fields with a Harris hawk with an hour afterwards talking about and handling owls...

Well worth it if you fancy it and the people that ran it Mark and Val were very knowledgeable and passionate about their subjects

Would just like to say a big thanks for the experience today walking with the hawks and the dog highly recommended was really fun and nice to see the hawks flying in the woods and fields definitely be going back and nice coffee shop and other stuff to do there too �

What a fabulous place, if you love your birds of prey then this is the place to go.

Better still get yourself onto a group session where you get to walk, talk, learn and fly one of the birds.

We recently visited Battlefield Falconry for a part of my mom's 50th celebrations and we couldn't have asked for a better afternoon, the two members of staff who were volunteering at the time were helpful, friendly, and full of knowledge.



We had a look around for a while before being taken in to a 'class room' where were we able to hold some of the beautiful birds they had on site.



Well worth a visit.

We Had a brilliant morning at the Battlefield Falconry Centre, which was a birthday gift. Mark took us on a walk with a Harris Hawk, it was amazing to see it quietly glide along about a foot off the ground to take food from my gloved hand. Then when we got back we got to hold and stroke a variety of Owls from the smallest to the biggest. This was the best bit for me as I am owl mad. Well done guys.

Took my dad and neice out for an afternoon lovely friendly helpful staff. Really enjoyed seeing all the birds. Was lucky enough to get close to one of the owls on its way back in. Pitty dad wasn't a little more mobile as would have loved to have gone for a hawk walk . Enjoyed a coffee and cake in the cafe and soaked up the view on a rare sunny day. Will most definitely be going again.

Took my children here last week and had a fabulous time. Stunning birds and a great session with Mark learning all about their owls. Really involved all the children. Loved it and will be back.

Thanks to Mark for a very enjoyable Hawk Walk with Oscar the Harris Hawk. Mark told us some history of the estate and the local area, and Oscar constantly followed us from tree to tree, swooping to the glove and flying among us. A really unique way to see these beautiful birds displaying their natural hunting practices, and their training. Afterwards Mark showed us his Barn Owl and Eagle Owl up close, and gave us a cup of tea and some more insight into caring for birds of prey. A really interesting and exciting couple of hours. Thanks again.

Thank you to the whole team for an amazing day! Really felt like Mark went the extra mile on our hawk walk to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and the knowledge he has is impressive! Will be back soon with the rest of my family �

Had an excellent time here. They were a really lovely, friendly, and engaging team. Learned plenty from them and you could tell how much they loved what they do. I’d definitely love to come back, couldn’t recommend them enough!

Had a fabulous day today. A group of us from the Shrewsbury epilepsy support group all went together. All children and adults had a great time and enjoyed being told all about the different birds. Would reccommend for anyone to have a go at this . Also very cheap for a family of four. Xx

Great experience this morning. Mark is so knowledgeable about the birds. Bud the Harris Hawk flew to our gloves and got close up to three beautiful owls. This was the first time that we have ever had a falconry experience and it won't be the last. If you want a superb day out then go to the Battlefield Falconry Centre and the cafe and farm shop are brilliant too.

Fantastic experience. Had a Hawk Walk and visit with Mark and the team today. The birds are fantastic - such a great collection. We had a 1 hour walk through meadows with Khan, the Harris Hawk - watching him in action, getting to handle him and witness his wonderful abilities. We also got to handle some of the beautiful owls too. Mark was brilliant - very knowledgeable and a thoroughly enjoyable morning. 2 hours flew by (excuse the pun). Definitely recommend a visit to Battlefield Falconry!

Fantastic experience flying and handling Khan the Harris Hawk, Luna the Canadian Eagle Owl, the European Eagle Owl as well as Mark the falconer.

Mark was very knowledgable and answered all questions to the best of his ability. All of his birds were friendly and he allowed us to get very close to the birds that were on the green rather than their enclosures.

Very relaxed atmosphere.

Brilliant for all ages, I would 100% recommend a visit here.

I would love to visit again.

Fantastic Experience- My husband and dad have just done the Birds of Prey experience this afternoon - they throughly enjoyed it - from booking it to the experience itself The Battlefield Falconry have been excellent - the farm shop and cafe were lovely and the cake was gorgeous- � definitely recommend if your looking for a different present for someone

Best day out we've had in ages, the hawk walk is a fantastic way to learn about the magnificent bird and to interact in the woods with it swooping over you, clipping your ears with wing tips, landing on your arm, catching frogs, on a sunny day with Mark our guide, fantastic knowledge and interesting time at the falconry centre with the other birds of prey

Amazing day! Incredible place, wonderful animals and the staff were brilliant. All in all one of the best days out I've ever had, and the Hawk Walk through the woods was a fantastic experience. Highly recommended to anyone. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing day with Mark on a Hawk walk. The birds are beautiful and you don’t usually get a chance to get up close to these beautiful creatures. You will be in awe of these stunning birds.

Thoroughly informative day too about the birds and the local area. Kids and adults will love it.

Absolutely fantastic experience at Battlefield Falconry! I bought this day as a gift for my boyfriend and we both loved it! Mark and Val were extremely friendly and made everyone feel very welcome and relaxed. They have us plenty of time to look around, lots of time flying the beautiful Harris Hawk (along with their lovely dogs) and a great informative session where we got to find out more about the birds. Extremely fun and interesting! Loved it! Will definitely be visiting again and will be recommending this to friends and family! Thank you so so much! Xx
