Bay Cycles

I bought my Trek Silque bike from Bay Cycles last year. Due to significant back problems I have had to change my cycle position.
I went up to see Jez and Lisa after work last week with my 2 Trek bikes. Jez and Lisa spent 2.5 hours with me on the turbo, firstly deciding which bike was best and secondly adjusting my cycle position to enable me to get the optimum comfort for my back.
Jez and Lisa were patient, highly knowledgable, helpful and exemplary in the service that they provided for me. ( As always)
After 8 months off my bike I am now back cycling, THANK YOU Jez and Lisa!

Tucked away in St Marychurch, Torquay and with a handy car park across the road, Bay Cycles is a bike shop par excellence. Jez and Lisa are very friendly, professional and knowledgable. They provide good advice and excellent customer service. When I wanted to purchase a new bike they gave impartial advice as to what would best suit my needs - a Trek FX3 in red!! The price was good and they carried out a Bike Fit to make all the necessary adjustments for a great ride. They advised on accessories but were not pushy. The after-sales safety check was thorough and I am really pleased with my new cycle and the excellent customer service.

Bought a new Surly bike from these guys and they were outstanding. Helped get it properly set up including my hub dynamo lights. Really attentive and know their stuff. Really excellent shop. Wish all local bike shops were like this!

Bay Cycles! Lisa and Jez did such a bang up job with my Bike Fit, I just wanted to get on the road and enjoy the comfort of a well set up bike. I got the bike that suited my needs then they tweaked it as I built the miles. When I needed to go overseas they sorted out, at short notice, a perfectly set up second bike albeit with Jez's usual dodgy humour and great tea! Lucy made sure everything came in on time and Lisa kept everyone in line, especially Jez!!!! Thanks so much for making this a pleasure, now looking forward to coming back for another bike, this time for my wife!

I have been having my bikes serviced with Jez now for a couple of years. You will not find a better mechanic than Jez in the bay or Newton Abbot. He only services whats needed wont do anything unless he speak to you first and nothing goes wrong after hes serviced it, unlike some other local shops i used to use.

Hes focus on customer happiness is awesome as a happy customer will keep coming back and he knows his stuff.

I hope to be going back there for many year to come.

This is an outstanding cycle shop.
I first went to Bay Cycles about a year ago to get some bits for my road bike and got talking to Jez, it soon became apparent he knows his stuff very very well. but at the same time puts you at ease, his knowledge and individual customer service is second to none. Lisa his partner I met and came back to buy a saddle she did me a saddle fit to get my size before I bought one so it was just right. ( I've bought a new road bike since then. From Bay Cycles. and moved my saddle over).
I have a mountain bike as well so this gets service there as well.
If it's a new bike you want, parts, 3 different levels of servicing, personal bike fit, male and female separate bike rides, clothing, accessories,bike cleaning products or just a simple question for your peace of mind. This is the place to go. It's so friendly too, no hard sell, solid background on experience and knowledge.
Would highly recommend Bay Cycles to anyone.
Parking is easy to as there is a council car park just across the road.
