Bay Horse Inn

Well we think it's a pub! Don't go if you are like us, a leper with one of those horrible dog things! Ushered embarrassingly out of an empty front room cuz dogs aren't allowed to that room...and sent to the lounge dining area right at the back! We only wanted a drink but would have had to sit amongst people eating! Very un-dog owner friendly! And unfriendly full stop. Given it 2 stars rather than 1 cuz we didn't stay to try anything.

Excellent menu and a really lovely meal (pork belly, lamb, and steak pie ). The staff were very welcoming and interested in our comfort. One of our party left behind their wallet, including credit cards and cash, and the staff posted this back to the USA without being prompted. Many thanks for a good job done!

Always excellent food and a good selection of guest ales, all reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff make The Bay Horse our favourite place to eat when we visit Pickering.

Had a half planned visit to Pickering today via Steam Train and decided to pop into this pub. Amazing staff and customer service, pub manager is a fab lady too. The carvery was the best tasting I've had!! Sat in the beer garden while the children bounced on the bouncy castle. Very reasonable prices and will definatley be going again!!! Thank you gmfor your fantastic hospitality A***

Fantastic pud with amazing food. We've eaten here a lot and never had a bad meal. Traditional menu cooked by a really good chef. Friendly service and homely atmosphere. Recommend!
